I've used Sterling Electric for several jobs over the last few years. They are extremely knowledgeable and work efficiently. Repairs included removing knob and tub wiring, replacing light fixtures, wiring repairs after a storm took out two rooms of a house, switch and outlet replacements, etc. I couldn't ask for a better group of professionals. Prices are fair. I'm not looking for free or cheap, I look for reliable service that's not overpriced.

Sterling Electric sent George, Adam, and Sam completed a great service in our basement. We knew George from previous work needing to be completed by Sterling Electric, which was a significant reason for providing them with the bigger project. We wanted a three-way switch added for our stairs, create a separate switch for new wafer lights, install wafer lighting on an existing switch, and make our outlets always live versus being on a switch. Job completed and looks great!

Scheduling with Sterling Electric has always been easy and efficient and the staff has been nice. Unfortunately, they do seem overpriced. I recently had one, single light switch replaced and it cost $270, $225 of which was the service fee and first hour of labor. Then an additional 1/3 of an hour for labor, which cost $41 was charged. I was quoted $230 on the phone and expected the possibility of a minor difference once the electrician full assessed the issue but not $40 more for a simple repair. I have had other work completed by them and the price seemed high but the work was good enough that I didn’t mind. However, this time the price was too high and I’ll be exploring other electricians in the area for future work.

Sterling Electric is an outstanding company. They are affordable, reliable, and deliver excellent workmanship. From start to finish, they took the time to listen to our ideas, talk through each project, and make sure everything was done right. Jim runs a first-class operation, and it really shows in the quality of his team.

We had the pleasure of working with George, one of their electricians, and he exceeded every expectation. Not only is he a highly skilled electrician, but he’s also an incredibly respectful, kind, and trustworthy person—someone you feel completely comfortable having in your home.

Sterling Electric went above and beyond for us, and I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work. If you want a company that cares about both the job and the customer, this is it.
