Spoke to Leo on the phone. Had an issue with a liftgate motor. They went out of their way to troubleshoot it and made the time for us to repair it that same day even though they were extremely busy. They were very considerate and understood that we needed our truck for work the very next day. Highly recommend both for service and great price. Thank you Frank and Leo.
Outstanding repair shop, quality, and people.I have used them for three repairs. On the first, my edge was running very rough and a national auto repair shop told me I had a head gasket leak with water in one of the engine cylinders and quoted $4,700 repair cost. Went to Pancho’s Auto Electric for a second opinion - no head gasket issue, needed an ignition coil replaced and new spark plugs. Cost difference of $4,300.On my second repair based on rough ride and noise while turning, I knew my ball joints needed to be replaced - pickup has 367,000 miles- so I returned. Estimate was very reasonable so I OK’d the repair. When test driving, there was continuing noise. Frank (head mechanic/manager) called and indicated issue was rear differential. Based on mileage and age of my pickup (2003), I asked for a lower cost fuel x. Frank assigned Leo with finding a used rear differential. On checking the first one’s interior, rust was found so the part was rejected and a second one was found. This attention to detail and level of customer service and focus on quality work is amazing.Everyone I have had contact with at Pancho’s Auto Electric - Frank, Leo, and Maggie who runs the office- have been very helpful and wonderful to work with.
Best service available for any make of car or truck. Very honest and fair pricing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. There is no other place to take your vehicle if you want things done correctly the first time. Thank you all at Pancho's Auto Electric.
Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with a mechanic shop ever! I brought my vehicle in for an issue, and not only did they misdiagnose the problem, but they also charged me for unnecessary work that didn’t fix anything. When I questioned it, they were rude and dismissive — no explanation, no accountability. It’s clear they either don’t know what they’re doing or just don’t care. I ended up taking it somewhere else and got the actual issue fixed in one visit. Save yourself time, money, and frustration — do not take your vehicle here. Completely unprofessional and unreliable.
It got to a point where I thought having my grandmothers 2007 Ford Five Hundred SEL was irrational until I decided to give my trust to the great people at Pancho’s Auto Electric in Harlingen.I traveled from Austin, TX and waited to confirm my grandparents car would be ready for her 64th wedding anniversary and even though it was a day late, it was worth the wait because not only did Frank and Maggie gain my trust and respect, but they gained a friend and a loyal customer. All the people including Pancho were all welcoming and friendly. He set up the expectations and was excellent in communicating with me the progress on my grandparents car. He made sure that every component on that car was in excellent condition before calling me and confirming the car was ready. If I ever have an electrical issue on any of my cars in the future, I know who to trust and where to go. The pricing was right and the words of honesty went a long way.Thank you all so much for bringing my favorite vehicle back to life. It helped me cope with a serious time in my life.Sam JonasAustin, TX
