We had a light switch that quit working. They refused to give an estimate over the phone. Then we get the invoice. $320 for a 5 minute visit to replace a light switch, which included a $20 fuel fee. We will never use them again. WHAT A RIP OFF.
Our company hired Garner Electric for a new build. We were impressed by their honesty and professionalism, and look forward to working with them again future projects.
We've used Garner before and their work was just as amazing the second time as it was during the first project. They were on time, quick with their work, and super friendly and professional while they were here. I especially love listening to the lead electrician teaching or guiding their apprentice; it's a critical trade and I love seeing the teaching process. So why am I leaving a review for this second project? Today, as our work was winding down, a neighbor set their yard on fire. We saw billowing smoke and suddenly heard a guy yelling for help. Well, one of our electricians was just going out to the van, saw/heard what was happening, and raced over in his respirator to see if he could do anything to help. And I mean he sprinted, not like, casually jogged. Once he'd made sure there was no immediate reason for him to be at the fire, he stayed in the road and made sure that the fire truck got directed around the corner to the right location. So, if you want stellar electrical work with a sprinkle of good Samaritan, 10/10 recommend.
The best electrician out there. As a principal broker I have worked with contractors in every trade out there. I can say without a doubt that Garner Electric is the most professional, fast, honest and skilled electrician in the book. I used them personally to wire my own custom home and I highly recommend them for any residential or commercial project you have. They are the best.
I haven't technically even had work complete by them and I still feel the need to write a review. I will update when (if) the work gets completed.I am going through a home warranty company so it may also be different, but I submitted a service request in September. I guess this was right before a large employee walk out because I didn't get a call back for weeks. I call, leave my information, they say they'll get back to me and never do. They have never once called me back except to "get down my information". They admitted to me in October they had a large employee walk out and my technician was one who left. They admitted to me in November that they completely lost my file. It is December now and no work has been done at all. Between Garner Electric and my home warranty company, I have been doing all the leg work when it comes to calling and checking in and seeing where I am at, which no one ever really seems to know. They also have the most pretentious, aggravating hold line that boasts "we have some of the same employees that started with us in the beginning" which is a lie. It goes on to say how it's hard to find people to work these days because kids are playing video games and don't work with their hand anymore. It makes the time I'm on hold aggravating and does not improve the already poor circumstances. I will say, everyone I talk to on the phone has been nice, and I understand it isn't their fault a bunch of people walked out. Don't punish those who stay.Regardless, I hope their work is quality or this will have been a large waste of time for everyone.Update. They came out and worked on my house. Jacob was my electrician and he was very kind and knowledgeable. He did good work and kept me informed the whole time. I'm sad it took this long (again, not sure if it was Garner Electric or my warranty company) but I am pleased with the work.
