Funk Electrical Ltd

We own Complete Floors Ltd and our son was at EB Horsman today trying to buy a cable box for behind his TV and wasn’t completely sure how to explain what he was looking for and he’s not a contractor so he wouldn’t be able to buy the part anyways. So the guy from Funk was behind him and stepped in to help and offered to look after the small part. My son did pay him for it but it is family owned business like ours that deserves a shout out when something good is done just because!!! Funk Electric thank you :)

Funk Electrical is a great local company that you should seriously consider if you have any residential work to be done. When initially choosing the company to help me get my service upgraded from 100A -> 200A, I had called three companies to get a quote or any information on how to proceed. Without naming the other companies, the service I got was simply incomparable to what Funk had provided. The other companies had basically told me "Yeah you gotta figure out if you have the proper size conduit or not and we can go from there, call BC Hydro to figure that out and then call us back". I remember that Mike had taken my phone call while busy working on another project and set up a date/time to come by and learn the work I wanted to do.

When he arrived, I was really taken aback at how thorough he was and how much information he got from me, and how much information he gave me, especially compared to the experience I had with the other two companies that came by. He spent over an hour at my place without even having my business yet, and to me that showed how much he and Funk cares about understanding the needs of the client and wanting a full picture before committing to a project.

With that being said, I do want to say that they're not perfect, and nor is it realistic to expect them to be. Large projects like this almost never go to plan, and it's great when they do, but what matters most to me is how a company handles the situation when things do not go to plan. I had a couple minor issues after the service upgrade (old AC line was hooked up instead of the new heat pump, and the dishwasher hadn't been hooked up to the new breaker), and when I called Funk to tell them about the issues, they were either fixed on that same day that I called or within 24 hours.

Funk is a company that cares about their clients and their needs, and I 100% recommend them to anyone looking for any sort of electrical work. Thank you Mike and Phill for your work and I will definitely be seeing you guys in the future.

This company is to be highly recommended! Mike offered wise counsel to me recently which saved me potentially thousands of dollars. He clearly demonstrated that the company is not simply for profit, but that they genuinely wish to provide excellent service to the community. This form of honesty and professionalism is rare and much appreciated and I know that I will be choosing Funk Electrical in the future.

We had our kitchen wiring upgraded and new circuits added in an old condo building, which presented them with a few challenges. But nothing was too much trouble for these guys - Mike and Phil and their team were absolutely outstanding! They listened to what we wanted, added helpful suggestions, and were incredibly professional, friendly and efficient throughout. Their communication was excellent from start to finish. We feel very fortunate to have found a company that truly puts the customer's needs first - we would not hesitate to recommend them for any electrical work, big or small.
