A lightning strike took out a bunch of switches, fuses, power breakers, appliances, and outlets late on Friday evening. I tried two other electrical companies who advertised 24/7 service and could only get voicemail. Kalahari had a human who answered and dispatched Josh to ensure my house was safe for the night. The next day as I realized the more extensive damage, he came back to complete several hours of repairs. He was nice and cleaned up the damage!
Kalahari Electrical was great. Quick and easy scheduling, offering "emergency" same day service or standard. Upfront pricing, and professional service and advice. Technician, Josh was on-time, friendly, polite and trustworthy. I would recommend them to family and friends. He diagnosed the electrical issue, and offered solid safety recommendations.
Short Version: Excellent services, up front pricing, knowledgeable and experienced technicians. I highly recommend them.Long version: Electricity to multiple rooms went out suddenly and with no warning. Breaker fuses did not trip and other rooms had power.I put in a work request that night with Kalahari and was called in the morning by their dispatcher who had a technician at my door by 1pm. Fast and efficient.The technician (Yamir Cruz) was professional, polite, and clear with the service costs. Once that was settled he got straight to work. Within the hour he was able to diagnose and fix the problem without having to cut any holes in the drywall which I thought was going to be necessary. I'm very happy that I was wrong.The total cost was $514, which includes a flat $69 fee for the technician to come and provide a quote for the work. Given the quality and professionalism displayed I would say this total is justifiable and fair.In conclusion: while I could likely find a cheaper service provider, I strongly recommend Kalahari Electrical Services for their quality and responsiveness. Their slogan is "When only the best will do" and Yamir exceeded that expectation. I will use their services again in the future.
Such a blessing to have found Kalahari! I was looking to get a quote for extending some outlets, and the whole process has been seamless! Bella was super helpful in getting me an appointment, and Josh was fabulous with his service. He was thorough in his explanation and breakdown of the work, and he was able to extend one of my outlets within 30min. A free electrical inspection (panel/meter) was also included with his work, which is underrated! Highly recommend to anyone looking for electrical work in Gwinnett.
Kalahari Electrical Company is significantly overpriced. I was quoted $349 for a basic maintenance inspection to ensure the electrical system was safe, hazard-free, and in good working order. This price was about $200 higher than comparable competitors for the same service.Based on pricing alone, I do not recommend this company. I strongly suggest shopping around—you will almost certainly find a much better deal elsewhere.
