I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. I received an estimate on 07/11/2025 for the installation of two chandeliers and was asked to provide a deposit of over $1,000. Despite paying the deposit, the company never once came prepared with the necessary equipment (a man lift) to complete the job.Over the next two months, they repeatedly cancelled appointments, often citing lack of equipment. Communication was extremely poor — my calls were frequently ignored, and updates were not provided. On multiple occasions, they even requested additional money beyond the original estimate and deposit, despite never having completed any work.Ultimately, after more than two months of delays and unfulfilled promises, the company cancelled the job entirely. Another electrician familiar with the staff of Mr. Electric McKinney (such as Jamie and Rusty who say they have worked for Mr. Electric McKinney for many years) had warned me in advance that the project would likely never be completed by the Mr. Electric staff, which unfortunately proved to be true.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service was unacceptable.In response to the owner’s reply: The company was clearly unprepared to begin the installation this week, as work did not commence as scheduled. Communication throughout this process was extremely poor; I repeatedly had to reach out for updates, and many of my calls and messages went unanswered. The request for additional payment, despite no work having been completed, was completely unacceptable. Of all the contractors I have worked with on my home, this has been by far the most unprofessional experience. My feedback here is honest and based solely on the way this project was handled.
Jamie and Rusty did an absolutely amazing job upgrading the entire electrical system in our home built in 1975. They were incredibly knowledgeable, priced very well, and kept us informed every step of the way. Their communication was excellent, and they were both so friendly and professional throughout the process. We couldn’t be happier with the results — highly recommend them to anyone needing quality electrical work! We have young kids and feel so much safer in our home!
