I had an excellent experience with Merit Electric and the owner, Farnam. I had never worked with him or his company before, so this was a first-time experience. The job itself was small, repairing a valuable European desk lamp that had stopped working, but he treated it with real care and professionalism.Farnam was always on time, friendly, honest, and very fairly priced. The first repair did not end up solving the issue, through no fault of his, but what really impressed me was that he came back at his own time and expense and fixed it properly without charging anything extra. He told me his policy is to keep working on a problem until it is completely resolved, and he absolutely lived up to that.It is rare to find this level of integrity and customer service. A real pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Merit Electric and Farnam. You cannot go wrong.
We called Farnam to help fix our broken Asko dishwasher. He responded right away and was able to visit the same day. As an electromechanical design engineer myself, I can attest to how complex the disassembly was just to access the broken part, but Farnam was confident it could be done and worked through the problem methodically. After removing the damaged part, he even guided me on how to source the replacement myself to save on cost. Once the part arrived, he returned the same day and carefully navigated the many challenges of reassembly. I was ready to give up and buy a new dishwasher, but Farnam persevered and successfully fixed it. Overall, I was impressed by his responsiveness, honesty, and ability to problem-solve as he worked.
