Five Star Electric modernized the electrical systems in my 42-year-old house. They replaced the circuit breaker panel, added new lines to power new recessed canless lighting throughout the house, and added ceiling fans. This was such a large project that another company declined to bid it. I drew up maps of the rooms showing where the lights, fans, and switches would go. Having a detailed plan was essential for estimating the cost and working quickly. They accomplished the job in four working days, and it made a huge difference. The rooms light up brilliantly, and it will be easier to sleep in the summer with quiet ceiling fans than with stand fans. I had to check the switches carefully to make sure they were all in the right places, and I had to correct two problems in order to prevent an AFCI from tripping. I removed a jumper between the hot wires of two different circuits; then appliances could run from the outlets without shutting off the lights. I also moved one return wire that was attached to the wrong circuit; then a ceiling fan could turn without turning off the lights. I opted to do the drywall repair, so I am patching the access holes, putting back insulation, and cleaning up wire fragments. Overall, we got a massive amount of work done in a short time, and the team was very nice to work with.

The company communicated well, showed up as promised, got the work done (right the first time, and per code) as promised, cleaned up afterward, even looks good cosmetically. And of course it works perfectly. I would absolutely work with them again based on the experience.
