We recently purchased a house that had a generator so I contacted Ryan Electric to make sure my freezer was connected to the generator in case of a power outage. I called today to get a quote on a Tesla charger. The receptionist proceeded to tell me that they cannot give me any kind of quote over the phone, even though I know exactly what I need. She let me know that someone would have to come out and give me an estimate, then she said that the estimates are only from 9 AM to 2 PM. I asked her what do you do when people have jobs, such as myself? She said I would need to takeoff work.What? No, thanks.Edited to add: it’s great that you care about your employees work life balance, but you need to care about your customer’s work life balance too. Most of us cannot take off just to get an estimate, and never in my 50 years of life have I ever heard of a company expecting someone to do that. It’s a little self-righteous if you ask me. Most companies put their customers before their employees when a choice has to be made.
