This was my first time using Highland Electric. They were amazing to work with Mike the project manager and David the electrician did an outstanding job on our project. They charged a fair and reasonable price for the job. The electrician was very polite and professional and dld exactly what l asked. I was very impressed and would recommend them to anyone out there.
I had an excellent experience with Highland Electric. My grandparents were informed by their insurance company that they needed to replace their old fuse box with a circuit breaker panel by the end of November last year — or risk losing their coverage. With less than 7 days to get it done (they had been putting it off), I reached out for help.Mike Ryan and Mark Fisher worked with me to find the most economical way to bring their electrical service up to code. That was especially important, as my grandparents are on a fixed income and I was covering the cost. They completed the removal and installation quickly and professionally, and even took the time to walk my 90-year-old grandfather through how the new panel worked and which breakers controlled what.I kid you not, no more than five minutes after they left, the insurance company showed up at their door demanding proof that the upgrade had been completed. Fortunately for all of us, it had been.Thank you, Highland Electric, for your excellent work and outstanding customer service. If you’re looking for an electrical contractor with transparent pricing, high-quality work, and a genuine commitment to their customers, Highland Electric is the answer.
An electrician from Highland installed 2 new spotlights on our home. He was efficient and did a superb job hooking up the new lights and took care to aim the spotlights in the directions that we wanted. We would use Highland again for future electrical needs.
Had a kitchen roughed in through HE. The walls were all opened up and there was existing conduit to go off of if necessary. It’s a relatively small kitchen, photo attached for reference. I supplied almost all materials. We also requested can light installation and electric run to where the island would be installed. There was attic access right above the kitchen so that was used rather than going through the basement ceiling. After three days of who knows what, the tech needed an additional tech to come help him finish on the fourth. (You are charged essentially double when another tech comes out). After four days of work on what several other electricians told me they could have done in two days, I was left disappointed. The installer was a fantastic guy, but what I was left with for what I paid was absolutely mind blowing. The can lights were installed incorrectly as to the distance we requested and had to be redone and patched on my own. The wires were never run for power to the island. There was a circuit with an open ground that I had to fix myself. One of the boxes that was supposed to be an outlet had so many wires running through it that there was no space to even install outlets, it will have to be a blank cover plate. For some reason the electrical in the adjacent living room/garage had no power and had to be remedied. There was scrap wire scattered all throughout the attic space. There was no way I was going to have HE come back out to fix these problems and charge me for another day or two of work, so I had friends, family, and other electricians help me fix all of the issues. Everyone I spoke to at the company was friendly, but ultimately I only received a 10% discount and my credit card fee waived off of a whopping $4,000 bill. I had to spend significantly more than that discount just to fix all the issues myself. HE is probably a great company as others have had good experiences, but I would recommend looking elsewhere as it's not worth the risk.
We contacted Highland Electric for some work on our older home and they were absolutely terrific! Punctual, clear, covid safe, and careful meeting our expectations as to our needs. Tim was a game changer when it came to giving us feedback and insights as to how to get the work done. He was personable and a pleasure to have in our home. Will most certainly come back in the future!
