Vickery Electric

As a maintenance manager at a company in Whitby, we discovered a burning smell from our main disconnect box to the plant. shut off the main power and called Vickery. They were at our facility within 1/2 an hour, diagnosed the issue and made the necessary repairs. It took 2 days of very hard work on there part in some of the hottest weather we've had in a while. They would not leave until the job was complete and the power restored to the building. The owner of Vickery was onsite several times to ensure things were progressing. Hats off to all involved. job well done. 10 outta 10 would highly recommend.

I'm a Whitby homeowner whose house was hit hard by the May 2022 storm causing a downed power line. The damage needed to be fixed by both Elexicon and an electrician we had to procure ourselves. I contacted Vickery Electric, and though they were very busy, when I told them the power line was on the ground, Mr. Vickery said he would come to our house right away in case there was a danger to us. He arrived within 10 mins. He then told us to let him know when Elexicon came, so he could send someone right away to do the repair at the same time. When Elexicon did come 2 hours later, we called Mr. Vickery again, and he had his staff at our house within minutes. He then spoke to Elexicon and arranged to have them do the full repair at no cost to us, as it would be easier for all involved. When I offered to pay Mr. Vickery for coming out to our house two times, he said it wasn't necessary. I'm extremely grateful for the timely care Mr. Vickery showed for my house and my family's safety. He put concern for a stranger's well being first and foremost, and in a great time of need for us. I am truly thankful to Mr. Vickery and his company.

I fancy myself as a household hobbyist able to fix most things. I've had an outside light not work for a year and an outlet in my garage not working for 20 years but that was just an annoyance and not critical to me. After many hours playing with the wiring on the garage light I called Vickery realizing a site call was going to cost me a few hundred, We arranged a date, the person was right on time, traced the problem back and was able to fix both the garage light and the outlet that had not worked in 20 years. This whole effort was so I could install a new sensor light , which I did not have him do as I could do that myself. He gave me some advice as to how the wiring was currently setup and was not within code and explained what I would have to do. Obviously a simple effort for him, many more hours saved for me, and too boot it cost me less than a few hundred. Glad I called.

These guys are fantastic! Had a few quotes from different electricians and Vickery was the only one that didn't have to poke holes all over the place to run wires for new outlets inside the house. James and Brett did a fantastic job of adding new outlets inside and outside the house, including a 30 amp RV plug for our trailer. We also had a new panel and Generac transfer switch installed as well. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their prices were better than most of the other independent electricians we had quotes from and I liked the fact that this is a bigger family run company that's been around for 100 years. For ALL your electrical needs, this is the only company you need to call. They know what they're doing and they even clean up after themselves. I will be recommending Vickery to all my family and friends and they'll be the only company I'll be using in the future too.

Fantastic job, I can’t say enough good things! After calling another local electrician who spent an afternoon trying to solve our dangerous electrical situation, I called Vickery Electric who basically walked in the house and within 15 minutes figured out the problem which was Elexicon. My hydro was fixed within an hour all thanks to Vickery. Honestly great people to deal with. Highly recommend!
