Highly recommend — smooth setup + installation, super responsive, and beautiful look when everything was done! After a last minute snag with our initial plan for flooring our kitchen remodel, we were given Johnny’s contact info. He not only took on our project immediately to avoid further delays, he also was able to refine our plan our re-leveling plan to make it more affordable and suitable to the project. To top it all off, he offered a better quality LVP option than what I had purchased that saved us even more money. From there, we re-floored our entire first floor with LVP and his crew knocked it out in a couple days with zero issues. Looks incredible how it seamlessly flows through our rooms and hallways!

We had our living room, foyer, stairs, and hallway wood floors installed by creative floors. The new flooring was sanded and stained to match our existing hardwood floors. Overall, the actual flooring looks nice. Our experience is what is causing me to only give creative flooring 3 stars. Johnny got a quote to us quickly and had a very competitive price out of the four quotes I got.
The crew was very nice but im not sure how you ensure quality work when the owner is not here, we did not see Johnny during the process at all. Johnny did not go over varnish options (quick dry vs longer) or make us aware of the fact we cannot be in the home during the staining and varnishing- until the day before they were ready to start staining. We have two young children and two dogs. We were then told we could return to our home the first evening of the finishing a few hours after they were done for the day- which ended up being 8pm. Again, with two young children that is late to return to our home. The smell was too strong to feel like we could safely sleep in our home and had to get an airb for two nights. This was very stressful and could have been avoided if he went over these details with us before the project started.
After our carpet removal on the stairs there were pieces of carpet and staples left on the risers. (They were not painting the risers this was a separate cost). When I asked about the bits of carpet and staples being removed Johnny said that it was not in their scope to do this but they would because it shouldn’t take too long. We are paying for carpet removal, I expect this to be completed. I will attach photos of what they would have left if I didn’t ask. I also had to ask the crew to fix several things, stain on bathroom tile, areas in door way of the staining looking red and not matching the floor. If I wouldn’t have asked for this to be fixed it wouldn’t have been done. We also found stain on the floor in our unfinished basement where the stain leaked from an air vent and pooled on the floor. There was stain on the walls, I anticipated stain on baseboards but not walls. And I normally wouldn’t complain but the toilet the crew used was gross and there were rice and beans on my basement floor. When I am paying thousands of dollars for a service I don’t expect to have to clean up after the workers.

I recently purchased a studio in Downtown Chicago and hired Creative Floors to remove my old flooring (carpet + tile) and install new LVP flooring that I had purchased myself. From start to finish, the experience was excellent.

I recently just bought a house and needed the entire upstairs carpet to be replaced. I called the big box stores to get a quote and their prices were too high. Creative floors is a small business who quoted me with a fair price with a quality shaw carpet. I first thought it was too good to be true but I was wrong. The installers took just a day to lay down the carpet. They were on time and efficient. The two men worked very hard. The owner is a honest guy and he made sure it was a smooth process.
