Recent reviews often note helpful guidance in selecting flooring, clear communication, and on-time installation. Positive comments reference carpet installs and hardwood refinishing that met expectations. Some critical reviews cite issues with estimates, workmanship details, and customer service follow-up. Overall ratings skew positive but with occasional concerns about scope clarity and finish quality.
This company did a great job again. We had carpet installed by them about 9 months ago and now we just had our hardwood floors refinished. The hardwood floors look beautiful and the carpet installation was done perfectly with great attention to detail.
I highly recommend choosing this company for your flooring needs! Alex was incredibly helpful and patient as we worked through selecting the right flooring type and style. The entire team was prompt, friendly, and professional throughout every step from measurements to material delivery to installation. The whole process was smooth and stress-free, and communication was excellent. I’m proud to support this family-owned business and will absolutely return for future projects!
We went in to schedule a measurement, and order carpet. We had an estimator come out to measure. We walked him through the whole entire house; swapping carpet for carpet for our upstairs and the stairs to our basement. The "estimate" only shows two landings and 12 steps but the square footage for the WHOLE project ( including the stairs that the estimator didn't include on his written estimate) was correct. However, they are saying they will ONLY do the 2 landings and one set of steps that the estimator guy counted (he must have forgot to count the rest). That would literally leave us with two set of steps with OLD carpet, but the LANDING in new carpet. How in the world would that even make sense? Just because their estimator didn't COUNT the steps going down, but not up, they are refusing to do them without us PAYING MORE, even though the SQUARE FOOTAGE COUNTS THE STEPS GOING UP that we paid for is IN THE INCLUDED AMOUNT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. This is what we get for trying to "support small businesses" instead of choosing Carpet Exchange who gave us the same exact quote of square footage and the exact price that Affordable Flooring gave us. What a shame. They are not willing to give me my deposit back either because “I should have read the estimate” but in reality the estimate was the correct square footage but the owner was too worried about the amount of stairs and trying to get more money that wasn’t warranted instead of stepping back and realizing that just because it wasn’t on the estimate broken down by steps, it was still covered. Miscommunication between the owner and estimator that ended up at the expense of our pockets. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
Wow I left a review and they took it down so let’s try again! I would leave negative stars if it weren’t for Oleg. He did amazing with our shower but otherwise, the customer service is terrible, they do NOT listen or apologize. Whoever did our floors did a half ass job so it really is what you pay for. Oleg needs to find another job, he’s way too qualified for this trash of a place.
This company did TERRIBLE work. We had our floors done a few years back and these are pictures from the low traffic areas that you can see are clearly falling apart. There’s also multiple big gaps between the floor and the baseboards (which I had them install new). Have gotten multiple splinters from walking on the floor. The worst part was they sanded the floor and then put the brand new baseboards in and then stained the floor with the brand new white baseboards put in so the stain got all over the baseboards. Had to spend hours painting the new baseboards white which was extremely difficult to not get white paint all over the brand new brown stained floor. When I contacted the owner and told him I was upset about the baseboard situation he said he would look into it. Called back many times after and he stopped answering my calls. Eventually the secretary called and informed me that putting in the baseboards before staining was their normal practice and it’s in the fine print of the contract (they never told me this up front and I didn’t think to ask because common sense would say to sand the floor first or at least inform the customer if they are going to have to finish the job). Go with them if you wanna save a little money upfront but realize the job won’t last and they do not have your best interests in mind
