When we redid our new (to us) house 11 years ago, we wanted to get rid of the carpet. After considerable research, we decided to go with bamboo, and after more research, with Ambient. Our Cinnamon floors were everything we had hoped for. After 11 years, they are still beautiful, scratch free, and dog proof. The people couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Recently a broken water pipe that wasn't discovered in time meant that we had to replace some flooring. Ambient no longer makes Cinnamon (boo, Ambient), so we explored a lot of other options for our front entryway. The Ambient people were again very helpful in making suggestions. It finally came down to slate or Ambient Natural. We went with the Natural, and couldn't be more pleased. Instead of looking pieced together, it looks like an intentional design decision. Most striking, the brand new floor underscores how good the 11 year old floor looks. Great people, great product.

We are very pleased with our Ambient Casablanca XtraWide Click Bamboo flooring. The sales staff was very helpful and made placing an order easy. The edging and transition pieces match nicely. Getting the load shipped to MN was no problem. I managed to get the flooring set out, measured, and cut into place using basic tools (circular saw and jigsaw). The bamboo flooring has been installed for about a year now, we love the color and the warm tones it brings to the room. So far there are no issues with scratches or the color fading due to sun, etc. Overall we are quite pleased with this Ambient product. It's way better than what we found at a big box store.

We are considering installing bamboo flooring that is engineered with a core of SPC and Ambient had 7 different colors to choose from. Also, they offer 5 free samples with free shipping, and it was very easy to order the three that interested us. They also have many other types of bamboo, luxury vinyl plank, and eucalyptus flooring. The prices seem reasonable and free shipping comes with orders over 600 sq. feet. I took off one star because the search results filter was annoying. It reset every time I checked an additional filter, forcing me to scroll down to get back to the list of filters so I could add more. I can't comment on the flooring as the samples were just shipped.

Fast forward to April 2023 (10 months later). We have finished installing 1800 sq.ft. of Skipjack Mast rigid core SPC strand bamboo and the house has been transformed. My wife and I did the installation ourselves and saved thousands in the process. The people at Ambient were great to deal with. We decided on this floor because we wanted a more natural product than vinyl and this was much less expensive than wood. It is also a very hard floor as far as scratch resistance goes but, surprisingly, to me it feels somehow soft underfoot. The key to this installation going as well as it did was that I subscribed to Joe Letendre's Laminate University. He has loads of YouTube flooring videos but offers a service for $200 where he will not only answer any and all questions for 1 year but also draws up a blueprint of how to do the entire install room by room which he presented in an almost-hour-long video. Using that blueprint and video constantly during the install we were able to do one room at a time at our convenience. He also recommended heavy duty tools which we bought and which helped to limit any struggling with poor tools. The most important tool was a heavy duty laminate cutter which allowed us to make most cuts near where we were working, eliminating having to run outside to a power saw except for occasional cuts that were made with a jigsaw. Anyhow, I changed my previous rating to a 5 as the whole process went well and the floor is beautiful.

This is the third project we have done with the Ambient Bamboo Ashwood Distressed Click Bamboo. My wife and I replaced the carpet flooring in her office, turned an overflow room in the basement into an office, and just finished up the hallway in the basement. The product is easy to work with and with the right tools almost anyone can install it like a professional. The people at Ambient are great to work with and have made each purchase and pick up easy. I would highly recommend Ambient Bamboo flooring to anyone considering a remodel and replacement of flooring.
