Good floorungnoptioms but does not have the latest in LVP products.Found our product easily. Nucore 6' LVP. Contractor who put it in said it was very difficult to work with. At first it was easy to put together, but later every piece required a hammer block to get tight seals. Suggested to only choose 4' LVP in the future.
The ones that we actually went for the floor that we actually went for was discontinued and so we tried to match a different kind. Which we did a good job at matching it, they've got really good deals on things and really good prices
Bad experience on Friday afternoon Nov 7th 2025. The one and only cashier at the front of the store had no customer service training at all. She was assisting another customer with 30 or 40 boxes of tiles when I approached her check out line and I stood in line patiently waiting to purchase two samples of tile. Not sure what the issue was in front of me but the customer could see I only needed to purchase two pieces of tile and told the cashier to go ahead and take care of me and she refused to do so. After waiting for at least 15 minutes I asked another employee walking by if there was another cashier in the store and he called for someone to come to the front and no one did. Several more minutes goes by and he comes back to tell me to go to the back of the store to check out. I did. There were four employees in the back of the store that were doing nothing. Just sitting in front of a monitor. As I was leaving the store the cashier in the front of the store was still counting title in open boxes and still working with the same customer.I moved to the Birmingham area from TX and was a regular customer at the Floor & Decor store in The Colony, TX for eight years. Never had a single problem at that store.The Manager at the Homewood store needs to provide some customer service training for his employees.
Thomas Hoover is the BEST at Floor Decor. In the floor dept. He KNOWS his products. We bought 1,000 SF Nucore. He is smart, efficient, explained product difference. Super nice. Helped load!!! What a nice surprise to find such a capable knowledgeable person to help.
I wanna give a huge shout out to employee Mrs. VEEI had to go buy some more flooring for my project, I noticed the price on the sales floor was different to what had brought up.She not only fixed the price to honor the sales floor prices, she went in and REFUNDED me the money I originally over paid on my first purchase of materials . I saved over 200$! All to her amazing ability to do her job.I hope floor and decor see this, Ms.VEE please keep it up!
