I'm extremely happy with the new floors. Even with my busy schedule, they were flexible and able to work around my availability without any issues. The installer handled the work professionally, and the owner checked in daily to make sure everything was on track. They finished the flooring my main living area and three bedrooms in less than three days, and the quality of work is excellent - everything looks clean, even, and well finished. The pricing was also very reasonable for the level of detail and care that went into the job. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality flooring with reliable service.
I hesitated in writing this review, as Modern Flooring installed vinyl flooring for me 2 weeks ago in my new home and I was thrilled! Serg was responsive and fair. So I hired Serg again to carpet 2 stairways for me. This second job turned out to be an error in my judgment. The stairs to the basement have suspected asbestos tiles so I specifically asked that those not be disturbed. Despite my being on-site the day of install, without my permission, not to mention the lack of any safety gear, the crew smashed the tiles apart and dismantled them. Serg was not there supervising and his men do not speak any English, so I called him immediately once I realized what the hell they were doing. He stated that he told his men NOT to remove the tiles and would call them immediately, to do what I don’t know because they continued smashing until the stairs were carpeted. I am now left with a ton of anxiety and confusion as to my next steps. Please use this as a cautionary tale that if you do decide to hire Modern Flooring, you are VERY clear when communicating with them and definitely supervise the crew yourself.
I recently had Sergiy and his team at Modern Flooring remove old tread covers from my stairs and replace it with a nice runner style carpet. They even fixed some of the wood trim that the old owners messed up. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for flooring services.
