Reviews often cite friendly, knowledgeable staff and supportive guidance choosing materials. Many customers mention smooth scheduling and clean, efficient installation, including stairs and runners. Pricing is frequently described as competitive compared with larger chains. A smaller number of reviews note project delays and punch-list items, indicating results can vary by crew and scope.
Used El Nino floors for a carpet installation on my staircase. Not only were the prices better than the big box stores like Alexandian, but dealing with the owner, Christian, made it a no stress job. Guy was easy to talk to and had his crews come in within the week. Stairs were done in a single day and the installers didn't make a mess of my house. Will be using this company for my upcoming flooring projects
I recently had my main floor done by El Niño flooring. From start to finish I was impressed with the customer service, especially Bal, who helped guide me on choosing the right product. She was highly knowledgable and explained everything I needed to know. When it came to installation, the team was very professional and ensured I was happy throughout the entire install. They were accommodating and very creative in making it work on an old 60s bungalow with wonky walls and floors. I did get other quotes, but pricing could not be matched. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new hardwood floors.
I recently had my main level done with engineered flooring and my upper level done with carpet including a runner on the stairs. Extremely pleased with the results and the price. El Nino Floors did an awesome job! The staff at the store were very professional and helpful and their installers did a terrific job. I will definitely be contacting them again when I am ready to do the carpet in my basement.
I hired El Niño to replace my existing hardwood floors and kitchen tiles with LVP, and I’m happy with the results. They did a good job removing the kitchen tiles and installing the new flooring. The store staff were friendly and helpful.Bal did an exceptional job with follow-ups and ensuring the installation went smoothly. She went out of her way to make sure even the smallest details were not overlooked. The two custom-made stairs are beautiful as well. Thank you!
I normally never leave negative reviews, but my experience with El Nino Floors needs to be shared so others can make informed decisions.I hired El Nino Floors for vinyl flooring, baseboards, and hardwood stair installation — a project quoted at over $24,000. The job was supposed to take 5–7 days. Instead, it dragged on for weeks with numerous issues that were never resolved. The flooring installation left multiple deficiencies, including soft spots, damaged and uneven baseboards, visible gaps, glue residue, and unfinished areas. Their workers also caused damage to my walls, trim, and even created a ceiling leak when removing a toilet. The staircase situation was unacceptable and unsafe. They removed my carpet and spindles before they were ready to install the oak caps, leaving my family — including a child — with exposed, unstable stairs for more than 3 weeks. Their staining attempts also turned the oak green, and the installer sanded the wood inside my garage, covering my garage, driveway, and car in thick sawdust that I had to spend days cleaning myself.Communication was extremely inconsistent. Workers would show up with no notice, or not show up at all. Often the owner would call off the crew working here and at my neighbors to go start a new job, leaving our homes in disarray for days on end. After repeatedly asking for repairs and proper completion, the company eventually issued a partial refund, but it did not come close to covering the cost of the professional repair quotes I received to fix the flooring issues, damages, and to redo the stairs properly.I have emails, photos, messages, and third-party quotes documenting everything. I hope this review helps others avoid the stress, cost, and disruption that I went through.
