Went to Floor Trader to replace 37 year old flooring after a 37 year old water pipe decided it was tired and burst! Everyone we worked with at Floor Trader of Williston (Tyler, Richard, and Ally) were terrific beginning with the selection process (and we knew nothing about all the current flooring options), taking the time to work with us and narrow down the myriad of options. Estimates of the options we discussed were promptly presented, further questions answered, selections made, and scheduling set in consultation with the contractor. And we can't say enough about the installers of both the hardwood and flooring (Anthony and Brandon) and the carpet (Rich and Alix). Installation was done with professionalism, courtesy, and skill. The rooms not damaged by the flood are feeling neglected and are now begging for a refresh, too, - Floor Traders is where we will go!
I can’t say enough about how helpful and flexible this company was! It was so great to work with them, they stored my new classroom rug all summer because I was stuck in a tough situation. They then delivered it right on time and I love it!!! My students are so lucky to have such a nice learning space this year. Thanks for the new rug and great customer service! - Jojo L.
The best flooring experience ever. This is a massive dining room space at our long term assisted living facility. They had a small window of time to complete the job, the crews were absolute pros, they worked around our schedule, crushed it in one day so as not to displace the elderly, the crews worked well past normal hours to accommodate us and they’ve done the same with other parts of the facility so far! Tyler is a great no bs salesman, competitive pricing and the work crews came through on ALL promises, the crews all recommended pros and cordial in a highly sensitive environment. We are very happy with the resulting jobs, well done, already have much needed future projects on the books and hope for more. AAA+++
Competitive prices equal to other floor installers in the area or a little lower. Good at sales. Use all subs who are not supervised. No accountability. First sub didn't show up several times and called me directly with his life story (had a car issue, had to take care of his kids, doctors appointment, scheduled something else, complaints about Floor Trader )and gave me his card and said he'd do work off the books. That sub didn't show up for the install so another company showed up but were short men so stopped in the middle and it took days longer to finish. The installers got leveling cement all over my cabinets and stove. I've been scrubbing tacky glue off vinyl plank for months. Every time I think I'm done, another spot. A nightmare. Now an area of the vinyl planking is starting to get bumpy meaning they installed the planks too tightly or glued the planks wrong. There are no moisture issues and the subfloors aren't bumpy so it's all on the installer. I've had vinyl planking installed in another place and had none of these issues. At first I thought everything was good and before I found the cement, glue and buckling I referred this company to a friend who just told me he's having issues with badly installed carpet.I'll update this review when and if I get a response from my email to the owner. Many companies use subs and sometimes things go wrong. It's how they address bad work that matters. I will adjust my review accordingly after I see what this company does to address this. Right now my advice is to stay away.Update: I appreciate the owners kind response and he has contacted me and offered to address the situation with a different subcontractor. Unfortunately, a new tenant moved in who is moving in from out of state and has a new job, so I don't feel right disturbing him with repairs and I'm a little afraid. :) and I've already cleaned up the cement and glue. I added two stars as I think it is a sign of a good person and honest business owner to try to rectify the situation.
We had a unique project where our boxing ring at Combat Fitness needed something between the foam padding and the canvas to stop sliding on the tape that kept all the foam pieces together. Tyler knew exactly what would work, and he wasnt kidding. This is a perfect fix for our situation, got it done the same day! Thank you so much!
