Great experience with getting our backsplash done. Very nice workers and great selections. The installers were amazing as well. They always showed up on time and cleaned everything up when finishing. Can't wait to do our floor soon.
What a great experience we just had with Jerry's J&W Carpet and Flooring. My Mom had a hardwood floor put in several years ago in the front of her home. She decided she would like to remove the carpet in master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms and place hardwood in there as well.On recommendation of friends we called and set and appointment. Keith come out and measure and look at our existing hardwood and tried without success to track down the exact flooring that we had.He then selected a hardwood that he felt would be comparable to our existing hardwood. Two samples were sent out and one was a match. We were told that the install would probably take a day and a half, so on the install day we were ready for a long day.The installation crew arrived at 8:00 am and had everything moved back in place, the floor vacuumed and wiped down to make it look fabulous at 3:45 pm the same day.Not even a full day to move a bunch of furniture remove two rooms of carpet and all that goes with that task, put down new floors and move all the furniture back in place, clean up. Before they left they ask my Mom to check the rooms before they left to ensure all furniture was back in the correct place.Working with Jerry's J&W Carpet and Flooring on this project exceeded our expectations!
I used this company to patch up some carpet in our rental. A month later I get the carpet cleaned only to discover they never even glued it down. This company comes highly recommended on FB but my experience is not the same as there's unfortunately.
They did a great job getting my new floors in. Professional and courteous team. I would recommend to anyone and use again myself.
Great Floors, Careless MistakesLet me start with the positives: 1) our floors look great … we had carpet and tile in our home and had luxury vinyl plank (LVP) installed. The home looks so much better after getting the original stuff removed and the plank installed and the installers did quality work. 2) easy to work with … project lead was easy to communicate with and his team worked well meeting our needs while redoing 2000+ sq. ft. of flooring. 3) quick … the tear out, installation, and finishing went quickly (approximately 4 days for the entire project).Unfortunately though, there were some things that detracted the experience from being 4 or 5 stars though: 1) damage to personal appliances/furniture … see the pictures attached, but the installers broke my sectional (metal connector plates we ripped out from the wood), broke the vent hose on our dryer, bent the mounting plates on our dishwasher to the point where they needed to be replaced to fit properly, broke a piece of our cabinet off. 2) rushed shoe molding … see the pictures attached, but the shoe molding that was installed with the LVP couldn’t fit perfectly with our existing baseboard and so they installed the shoe mold and caulked behind it. In several places, the caulk settled and air bubbles left many little holes in the caulk. There were a couple places where no caulk was put behind the shoe mold, leaving a gap between the baseboard and shoe mold. There was several places where the shoe mold was not flush with the other piece installed. 3) baseboard popped … there were several spots where the baseboard away from the wall and was not reset/re-caulked. They were able to do this in the most noticeable spot, but we have notice a couple other spots since the conclusion of the project. As I stated, we love the look and feel of our floors. We knew we’d have some work to do in order to get everything matching (need to paint our trim to match the shoe mold) and back to normal (bring all our things back to our home), but things like the broken furniture/appliances that we PAID to have THEM move is disappointing and something that could have been easily remedied with more caution. Don’t know if we would or wouldn’t use them again (we don’t have any floors to redo now), but the above information is something to consider.
