We recently had a new house built and Ambassador is where the builder got our flooring, and they were the installers.We had a combination of carpet and LVP installed. The LVP was buckling all over the place and was noticed by the builder three days before our closing. It should have been obvious to the installers that something wasn’t right with the flooring but they didn’t say anything. So we had to have the entire floor replaced after we moved in, something that could have been done long before closing had anyone paid any attention at all to the finished product at the time of installation. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the process of installing the replacement flooring went as good as it could.Now I am looking for new carpet for our basement to match what was originally installed in the rest of the house. I called up there and talked to a woman named Tee who clearly didn’t have the first clue how to get this information. Long story short, she is unable to answer basic questions about what we have versus what we want, and she said it would be over a week before she could even come out to measure. She also didn’t understand the difference between price per square foot and price per square yard. She repeatedly told me the pad was $3.90 per square foot, and I told her that was ridiculous. She eventually realized that she was looking at the price per square yard.If you choose to go to Ambassador, I would recommend you deal with anyone other than Takeisha “Tee” Harmon. At one point I called up there and spoke to another gentleman who was able to quickly get me correct information, be he immediately turned me back over to Tee when he realized that she had already been working with me. Unfortunately that probably cost them any future business from me.
We could not be more pleased with our new carpet. Andrew did a great job helping us select the replacement carpet. This was a large install with a lot of furniture to be moved/replaced; Rob and his crew were masterful in their work and pleasant to be around for the entire week of work. Thanks Ambassador!
We’ve used ambassador flooring in the past without issue, but this time we worked with Jim because the person we had worked with before had moved to a different location. I’ve never had such horrible customer service. He didn’t follow up, he was extremely difficult to get ahold of, he did not respond to questions and for some reason would not provide a detailed breakdown of the cost when I told him the cost was much higher than I was expecting. After 3 extremely frustrating weeks, we ended up going to a different flooring store that was highly rated online who got us a quote with a detailed breakdown (without me even having to ask) within 2 days of entering the store and cost around 30% less for the exact same carpet with installation.
