This company is great! We had Danny and his crew pull up carpet, sand, and finish two bedrooms and buff and coat the rest of the house’s floors. They did a fantastic job at a good price.The flexibility in scheduling, professionalism and knowledge, price, speed (without sacrificing quality), and final result were all very impressive. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of hardwood restoration, maintenance, or installation.
Working with Danny & team was the best! We had them refinish some hardwood floors on a tight timeline. Their work was excellent, and best of all everything was exactly as proposed. The timeline, total cost, and outcome were EXACTLY as discussed during the initial walk through. On top of that, Danny was extremely easy to work with. He's a great communicator and always arrived on time and gave regular status updates that helped us plan other projects. We will be going back to them first when it comes to our next flooring projects!
The team from Modern Quality Flooring excelled at every step of the process of redoing nearly every floor in our new house. We redid our entire first floor of hardwood and our entire basement with new vinyl lux flooring.We discovered some bumps in the road - upon removing some rugs, some very large plywood patches showed up. The basement floor, once the carpet came up proved to be less than level and the stairs needed to be patched up.Everything was done so well that it's hard to imagine it's the same house. The flooring work they did was transformational. Despite the complicated and numerous hardwood patches in several rooms, you can't tell they're not the original floors. The workmanship is flawless.We felt completely comfortable from the initial meeting with them. They were excellent at communicating things before, during and upon completion of the work.If you have floors that need attention, they should be your first (and really) only call. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Danny and his team at Modern Quality Flooring were beyond outstanding, I truly cannot praise them and their work enough. My fiancé and I tried to refinish our floors ourselves, but after 2 days we quickly realized we needed a professional.We reached out to 4 different companies. Every other company was condescending and poked fun at us for trying to do it ourselves. Danny came out immediately for a consultation, explained the entire process, and emailed me a quote the next day. From start to finish he was kind, soft spoken, took the time to explain every detail and the reasoning behind their process.We immediately wanted to move forward with Modern Quality Flooring. We confirmed with him on a Monday, his team of 3 started Tuesday and were done by Thursday. I am truly blown away at the efficiency and quality of work, such an incredible value and well worth every penny.They replaced some boards due to urine stains from previous owner and you could not even tell where they replaced the boards. They filled in nail spots and areas where the wood boards wouldn't reach our new, thinner base trim.Danny sanded an area to put down 2 stains to show me how the wood would take the stain. It was so great to see a sample of the stain on my actual floors, so there was no guessing in how the finish would turn out.Danny and his team were so kind, respectful, and patient throughout the entire process.If you are questioning getting your floors refinished, look no further. Don't waste any time, just go with Danny and Modern Quality Flooring. I promise you won't be disappointed!!
We were initially going to do the floors ourselves but decided to get a quote and we are very thankful we did. After one conversation with Danny it was clear that he was a professional and very knowledgeable in his trade. We have an older condo in Evanston, 3-story walk up, and Danny knew how to address the "quirks" that come with an older building. The refinished floors came out beautifully and were completed within our tight timeline. We are are very pleased to have worked with Danny and will definitely use his service and recommend him for future projects
