Do not use this company! They have no communication and they do not honor their word!! I needed a four by four spot fixed on my floor, told me they could fix it no problem, two days later they went back on their word (even though it was their company were the ones who layed my floor). They are terrible and will lie to your face.
I used Alan's for floor installation and shower remodel in Jan.2023. I went there because I trusted one of the employees who I worked with in real estate for years. My floors look good, though there were several broken baseboards that they never repaired. But my shower is the problem, after 2 1/2 years it is literally falling apart. We had issues after 6 mos and it took forever forever for anyone to acknowledge it, even the owner who I was calling directly. Someone was always out of the office, messages taken, telling my issues over and over to numerous people. Someone finally came to "fix" it, all they did was caulk. In the wrong color I might add....when I called they said once dry it will match, it did not. Today all of the corners have gaps gaps, my seat has gaps and my tiles are beginning to crack. All the cracks are causing water intrusion. The tile work is crooked and the grout works is not consistent and the drain looks like crap with tiles chipping.I have no recourse since it has been over a year, so I can at least tell others of my issues and experience.Got an estimate this week on how it needs to be repaired (tear out and redo) for $26K, this does not include the plumbing portion. Just stay away from this company.The photos are from Feb 2023 and were reported to owner/staff ??
Dragged leaves in the house and covered them with carpet. Left food and drinks on the carpet they just installed. Broke our bed and other furniture items. Threw clothes on the floor and unplugged wall mounted tvs from the back. Something totally malicious. Got it on camera. Do not use them for installations. Sales staff was great though, installers were horrendous.
Would not recommend. They are very dishonest and will scheme you out of money. I went with them because they were the best bang for your buck but it turns out this is only because “they forgot to include a bathroom”. I asked multiple times before the work was started if they would send me the exact breakdown of cost separated for carpet, tile, and hardwood which they would not send me. After they tiled everything and I paid the tile invoice (which was around the number they quoted) they finished up the rest of the work and wanted to charge me $4,000 more because they forgot to include a bathroom (which was tile that they had already invoiced me for and I had already paid) When I dropped the check off upon them completing the work the lady said “ohhh we love money”, well it is evident that you do. This company lacks integrity.
Replacing Hardwood Floor: Sales man is just sell the product there is no customer relation, Store people are very nice. Installer are horrible. Bunch of unprofessional people. 1st they made huge scratch moving furniture, after the install. I had to call to tell them to come back to fix it.. Installers came back and start replacing the parts. using saw to remove part of my floor and replace them now they are not fitting good, Also there are so many dents while installing they had to hummer the woods, I request using new hummer, they said they will replace whichever I want, but there are too many so, I had to sacrifice my feeling and let them finish. I would recommend what type of people are coming to install before purchasing floor. It is all about sales man and installer that I had issue with. I feel like I just got brand new price with dented vehicle.
