Multiple reviewers appreciated detailed prep work, including leveling where needed. A small number of older reviews noted concerns with trim detail, but more recent feedback trends positive on workmanship and follow-through.

***update*** Still LOVE this company and the work they do. My flooring has held up nicely. I decided to have my basement level done (after adopting puppies) and Nic A supervised this project from start to finish. I’m so happy with the quality of work and customer service. Nic was great about communicating everything start to finish. The floors look amazing! (again) and Mountain West does the job the right way (leveling concrete before install). I am a real estate agent and I see this company doing work on many of the new construction homes over in Mapleton. I trust their work, love their service and highly recommend!

Great company to work with! We had the flooring replaced on our main floor and I was referred to Mountain West / Andy Thompson through my sister who had them do her flooring a couple of years before. The installation crew was talented and thorough (3 days). I felt like they went above and beyond making sure the flooring was just right. A very nice company to work with. Flooring is beautiful. The price we paid felt very reasonable for the quality job done. Will definitely refer this company in the future!

Mountain West Interiors is a great company to work with. They were responsive and guided me through the process and offered helpful solutions to my project on a budget. Lexi was so kind and responsive helping to coordinate my request. Nic gave me an honest and fair bid and helped with solutions to fit my needs. Ishmail and his team did a beautiful job with the carpet installation, they worked so hard and everything was spotless when they were done! I can't wait to use this company again for future projects and I would recommend them to anyone!

First and foremost, the laminate and carpet they did turned out really well. The main issues I have was with the trim that they installed. See photos below to see what they left my house with after they had “finished” the job. I got home from work and caught the installers in time for me to explain that this work was not acceptable, but they didn’t seem to care much because they wanted to complete the trim all in one day (most of which was slapped on the wall in the last few hours of the day.) I got ahold of management and they came and walked through so they could “fix” some of the problem areas. The trim has a slight rounded top, yet they didn’t miter the inside corners. Lots and lots of gaps from sloppy measurements, etc. They fixed a few things, but very far from what I’d expect from a company that charges money for this type of thing.

Not super impressed with management as their first reaction to my complaints was to explain to me that this is just how trim looks. They tried to tell me that this is just kind of the standard trim you’d get even if you were getting a nice brand new house. Additionally, it took me getting pretty upset for them to help with a plumbing issue that their demo crew caused.

Pics are from the day they “finished” the job, and I will give them some credit for coming back to try to fix some of the issues, but they didn’t fix them all (mitered inside corners, cutting proper angles for rounded corner walls, and a huge gaping hole where my toilet water source comes in that is still not fixed after a week.) I just had to live with the final work because I knew it wouldn’t get any better with their installers and we had painters already scheduled to begin work.

Again, would I recommend them for flooring? Absolutely! Would I recommend them for trim? Not in a million years.

Andy did an amazing job from start to finish. He took the time to educate us on different material choices for carpet and has a big selection of colors and patterns to choose from. He got us scheduled and got the job done quick. The quality of carpet is so nice and we did not overpay, thanks Andy! I will be sending anyone I hear talking about carpet to you!

We have worked with Mountain West Interiors several times. We have had them help with both our personal residence as well as investment properties. In all cases they were professional and the quality of work was top notch. They have installed carpet, tile and LVP at our properties. We highly recommend Mountain West Interiors. We have specifically worked with Derek which has been great.
