They do great at installing carpets and hardwood flooring. However good luck getting them to do repairs. We've called since before December to get someone to look at a carpet repair. Had to call 2 or 3 times to get someone to come out and look at it. Said we'd hear back in the next day. Of course we didn't. Tried calling back again. Told we would be called back about getting it done. Still haven't received a call. Its the holidays so I get its busy. However if you don't want to do the repair, I would rather them say we aren't messing with repairs at the time or tell me its to small to mess with rather than leading us around weaiting for someone to call.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Carolyn for my kitchen renovation and I am ecstatic with the results! Her expertise in combining modern aesthetics with a warm inviting ambiance as well as practicality truly shines in the transformation of my kitchen. It was previously a tiny, claustrophobic, dim space and is now an expansive room that combines grays and blues complimented by black fixtures and flooring with a touch of white in the countertops and tile. Carolyn and her team were professional and attentive throughout the project. I highly recommend Carolyn to anyone looking to elevate their kitchen space both in function and design. I did hear that the company had her pay out of pocket for a different project sink install and pays their employees commission out of profit on projects instead of total project cost which is barely enough to scrape by.
We had a great experience with Flooring By Design! We just purchased our new home and wanted to replace some carpet before moving in. Carolyn was fantastic - she was available to meet quickly, was able to advise on carpets that worked for the space and our needs, and the selection was really tremendous. She also worked with us to find something that fit our budget. Once we settled on a carpet, we were able to get it installed within about 2 weeks - with plenty of time left before we moved in. The installation team did a great job and the carpet looks fantastic. Would highly recommend!!
We were referred to Flooring by Design via Reddit and a coworker who had personal experience with them. Heath was professional and helpful from the start. The estimate he provided was far more detailed and thorough than any of the others we got. He explained what we could expect from day one through completion of the project, which made it really easy to manage our expectations about when we would be able to use our (only!) shower again. We went to their showroom and Heath guided us through the tile picking process, which initially seemed overwhelming but he made enjoyable. He coordinated with our plumber, and handled the painting crew. We are thrilled that the process was so smooth! We would hire Flooring by Design again in a heartbeat.
Kaylan Oakley at Flooring by Design saved the day! I was doubting both the flooring and backsplash tiles I had chosen for a downstairs remodel. My husband got on the internet and found Flooring by Design, and suggested we go check it out. Best decision EVER! Kaylan helped us find the perfect floor, which was an upgrade from what we had originally chosen, yet, after installation, it was no more expensive than the less durable original choice. As we were walking out, I noticed their tiles, so she then helped me find a backsplash option that I was very happy with. She provided way more assistance than the store I was panning to order from by showing us examples of what it would look like in various installation designs. the day before she was coming to the house with the samples, a new shipment arrived that she thought I might like. She nailed it! And while at the house, she also had extremely helpful advice on paint colors. This company has great installers as well! They were not only great at what they do, but were respectful and friendly, and cleaned up at the end of the job. Our contractor was particularly impressed by the quality of the tile installation! I truly wish I had gone to Flooring by Design at the start of my remodel project. It would have saved me a lot of time and headaches!! We definitely plan to use this company and Kaylan when we're ready to upgrade the upstairs of our house.
