Services include floor material supply, in-home estimates, and installation for common surfaces such as laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood, and carpet. Some projects may involve subfloor prep, trims, stair components, and transitions.
Recent feedback is mixed. Positive notes mention communicative staff, helpful project coordination, and results that met expectations on managed properties. Critical reviews describe concerns with stair work quality, change orders or pricing adjustments after start, and delays or scheduling issues. Prospective clients often highlight the importance of clear written scopes, material counts, and stair details before work begins.
We would not recommend World Flooring to work on your stairs. Floor and Decor contracted them to install our flooring. As you can see in the photos, globs of glue were used to adhere the stair noses to the treads. Because the glue was not spread evenly, we have had nearly every stair nose crack through normal wear. In addition, the treads and risers were cut too short and spaces filled in with white caulk. An independent inspection and other contractors have stated that the the stair noses were improperly installed. World Flooring did not take responsibility and claimed that the product was defective. In our efforts to resolve the problem World Flooring has been slow to respond and dismissive.
These days when a family owns a business this doesn’t mean they have expert installers and flooring specialists or even licensed. It’s very easy to have a business in CA and seek people seek people with the experience. Of your good at legos your good at flooring. We have an estimate reasonably priced higher than the others, but was told we needed to remove our railing and that the installers would not put back the railing. I waited and waited for management to call me. I went with someone else floor installed in three days
I’m not even sure where to start…Should I lead with the $3000+ ADDITIONAL fee that they tried to tack onto my bill 2 hours AFTER starting, while I was at work trying to manage these costs, leading the installers to simply sit in my front yard for 3 hours not working? Or would a good place to start be with them trying to say they need double the materials they actually need, leading to hugely inflated costs? Or do I begin with, despite being told all of our furniture would be moved by the installers, it still seemed like a huge ordeal for them, thus leading to all of our furniture, including my baby’s crib, being placed in our yard without tarps overnight? Or should I start with being told our installer would be taking the next day off, mid-project, at 3:30 in the afternoon the day before he’d be gone? Or do I begin with them adding transitions to doorways to avoid matching up flooring, which caused one of our doors to not even shut? Or is a better place to lead with them leaving cement rings in our backyard and tack strips in our driveway that caused TWO flat tires from where they failed to clean up after the installation? Or do I begin with the fact that you’ll just NEVER be able to get ahold of anyone via phone.I guess what all of this boils down to is even if ONE of these things would upset you, I’d steer very clear of this company!Edit: likely because of this post, two managers contacted me to come discuss this at my house. Their response?-The attempt at overcharging by thousands was “an oversight by the office.”-The transitions had to be added because “flooring from different lots can’t be connected.”-The door that didn’t shut due to the added transition was because “the door looked to be lower on one side.”-The cement left in our yard is “water soluble and can easily be removed.”-The flat tires were “due to an oversight when cleaning up.”The entire situation was so dismissive and ownership was still not taken. Now, in fairness to them, they did offer to shave my door and come wash the cement, but there was no way I was having them back at my house again after all of this.MY RESPONSE TO WORLD FLOORING’S COMMENT:I’m just going to preface this by saying that this will be my last response to your company, regardless of what you try to argue. I also find it hilarious that you think you’re proving your “comment to customer service” by responding to me six months later ??I understand that you found subflooring that needed to be leveled, however, when our house was assessed by your employee, we were told the price would not go up even over $1000, despite you all trying to claim you need more than $3000 more.I guess you should have talked to your employer company, LL flooring, because moving furniture is a service that they provide with every installation, according to their manager, as the previous company they used (and should have kept, obviously) always did.In regard to Alan, the day off was not requested of me, it was told to me at the end of his working day the day before he planned to be off. This was nerved previously mentioned at any point. Obviously, I’m not going to expect that he work on Ramadan. I attempted to call your company to discuss another person coming, but, as always, no one answers your polygons. I called LL Flooring to ask for one of the other people to come and complete the installation, because you should have planned for another person to have been there for the day Alan was not. Not being told this even 15 hours before his scheduled time to be at work would be inexcusable at any company. You NEVER addressed my concerns about the damage to my property. You came to view the property and made excuse after excuse, including simply taking photos of the door that could not close, and the cement left all over my yard.Again, your “commitment to customer service” should embarrass you.
