I’ve been a repeat customer of A-1, having purchased carpeting from them for a previous property and recently returning to replace the carpet in a unit I was selling. Unfortunately, this latest experience was disappointing from start to finish.The salesperson initially assured me he would help me find a “like-for-like” replacement for the original carpet, since the original product was discontinued. He suggested a similar option, which I selected based on his recommendation and photos of the space. While the carpet looked nice at first, it quickly began showing visible soiling after installation — far more than expected for new carpet that barely had any foot traffic.I contacted A-1 several times and provided photos and detailed information, but follow-up was inconsistent. After weeks of communication, I was ultimately told there was nothing the company would do.I wonder if the response might have been different had I not mentioned that the unit was being sold. Either way, the lack of follow-through and accountability was disappointing as was the product they recommended that I purchase. I’ve had good experiences with A-1 in the past, which makes this especially unfortunate. Based on this experience, I would not purchase from them again.
Robert was amazing to work with, him & his team did such a great job with our home renovation project. They’re true experts and worth every penny! We love the way everything turned out, and highly recommend using them for your next home project!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Bob, the owner, and his installer Mike. We purchased tiles in 2006 and flooring and carpet in 2019 for our new house.. Flooring was beautiful and about $3k less than where I found it at a competitor. When he measured my home, he showed me where we could keep existing tile in laundry room and save money. I appreciate the transparency and recommendation.Upon installing, I remember seeing a wet spill on the protective paper. Frantic (or neurotic ??), I called Bob with my concerns. He said I'll be over in the hour. I was truly impressed with his quick response.Recently, we noticed some issues with the flooring. Again, Bob and his team were quick to remedy the issue. They stayed in communication and did a beautiful job. It's a breath of fresh air to have a company stand by their work. Bob, Mike and Tim....thank you!!! We truly appreciate you making it right. Highly recommend anyone in the market for carpet, tile or flooring to go with them!!!
A1 was amazing from start to finish. Bob was very communicative keeping me updated every step of the way. We had both drywall and flooring installed and the work was absolutely immaculate and the workers were clean and fast. We have worked with several different contractors and this company was by far the best. Bob is not your industry norm, he truly cares for his clients and does what is in their best interest.
