Recent reviews show mixed experiences. Positive notes mention friendly scheduling and careful repair work on specific projects. Critical feedback centers on luxury vinyl plank installations in newer homes, citing subfloor prep concerns, product cracking, and disputes about warranty coverage. Communication around remedies and costs is a recurring theme in negative posts.
I had floors installed in my new home in 2020 in a Lennar subdivision. Kerman’s installation was very poor. There should have been subflooring or underlayment placed before the LVP was installed. It seems that even though there is a warranty, Kerman can offer no solutions. This flooring splinters, cracks and peels. Very poor service.
If i could give this place 0 stars i would… we have lived in our house for not even 3 years. Half of our LVP are cracked. We were told this was a topical issue and not covered under warranty. We went to another flooring business to have them look at our floors that are literally cutting our children’s feet and they clearly stated our floors were installed incredibly wrong.. Kermans told us they would fix THEIR mistakes for 500 dollars?I’ve never been more frustrated and would never recommend this company to ANYONE.
Why would you hire Kermans?Kermans installed LVP in my new built. They failed to prep the sub floor. So, they remove all the planks. Yet, they still refuse to prep the sub floor properly. They did not even up all the deviations, instead, claiming that there are "tolerance levels" deemed acceptable. But not so fast :)They had to redo the work again, because they installed the wrong planks. The installation were carried out by subcontractors who were so proud to finish a job that ought to take 4-7 days in 2 days.So two complete re-installation and a year and a half later, the LVP cracked. They say that it is out of warranty and would not fix them. Why would you hire Kermans? Only if you want your floor to be uneven. Only if you enjoy arguing purposelessly. Only if you want to lose your homes for days to "fix" things that end up not fixing things. Only when you like to see their "workmanship" and your floor fails and cracks. And yeap, that's out of warranty for you.
We had a repair craftsman at our home yesterday to replace a damaged section of flooring. Geoff was very professional, and did a great job on our floor. No detail was overlooked, and could not have been better. Scheduling was excellent and was very flexible to my schedule. I regret that I don’t remember the name of the kind lady that we talked with. She was awesome. I had a last minute change, and they happily adjusted my appointment time. We highly recommend Kerman’s Flooring.
These are our floors we had installed by Kermans Flooring 22 months ago. We have been documenting issues, contacting Kermans, even had the mill that manufactured the wood to our home (all during the last 8 months. We wanted a seamless look, no translations strips. We had numerous products priced by 6 different flooring companies. We chose Kermans. How could we go wrong? Even the salesman we worked with had the same floors in his home with no transition strips. I saw his pictures, they looked great! So we had them installed. Within months we started seeing chipping, buckling, and gaps. I have over 100 places on my first floor that are literally chipping apart at the seams. The mill that manufacturers the product came to our home. They could not believe it. They explained to us, these floors should have had transition strips, they were installed well past the length of warranty. Why would any homeowner spend that kind of money on something that wasn’t under warranty? We spent the extra buck to go with Kermans, and trusted their professional judgement on our needs and wants.Kermans says there is nothing they can do. They won’t even return my calls or emails. I have left numerous messages, and nothing. They finally called my husband back and told us to get a lawyer if we felt like that is what we needed to do.Please help spread the word, show our photos to anyone that is considering floors from Kermans. Their owner claims their faith, honesty, and customer service on their website. What a joke. Very disappointed.
