Reviews frequently mention helpful, responsive staff who guide customers from sampling to final installation. Shoppers note clear communication and easy order pickup, with several calling out specific associates by name. There are also reports of installation quality concerns and follow-up delays in some cases, indicating experiences can vary. Overall sentiment trends positive but highlights the importance of coordination and aftercare.
Tremendous experience dealing with Tara Oliphant at Carpet exchange, from choosing samples until final installation. I would give her (and Carpet Exchange) 10 stars if I could!!! Well done, Tara!!!
Jasmin Rose was great to work with. She was casual, professional, responsive, and fun. She offered great suggestions when I was stuck!! There were times that I had to stop in when she was off and her team was great in covering for her. My contractor said picking up the flooring was a breeze as well. Everyone was great. I'm happy to have a store so close with great service and so many options.
My best friend recommended Carpet Exchange as she had her flooring replaced by them. I found a dealership in Ft Collins. I spoke with Tara, and she gave me several samples to take home. I found this to be very helpful in determining which flooring would best match my home interior. She was so friendly and was able to answer all my questions about the types of flooring that would best match my needs. I have both cats and dogs. Taylor was the person who installed the flooring. He came each day at a time that best fit my needs and his. Taylor was very good at installing flooring. Taylor's work was excellent in every way. I would recommend Taylor if you are thinking of installing any type of flooring. The installation of the floor went so smoothly. I felt very comfortable with all my furniture being moved around. The cats enjoyed watching Taylor and were very interested in where he placed the furniture. Haa. He made the installation appear to be so easy. I love the flooring I picked, thanks to Tara's help. I have not replaced some of my furniture yet. I did not want to cover the beautiful flooring. Thanks to both, Tar, and Taylor, for making my life easier. I should have replaced the flooring years ago.
Although sheet vinyl is not as popular as it used to be, my mom was able to find a pattern and color that was perfect at Carpet Exchange. She mentioned that Tara was great to work with and very knowledgeable. And the installation turned out perfect! ( ok, I installed it)
We paid over $10k (up-front, per their contract requirements) for new carpet and waterproof carpet pad to be installed in Dec '23. We had to endure multiple tear outs and reinstalls due to defective carpet and installation errors, and it's still not 100% resolved over a year later. When they re-installed certain areas of carpet they cut the brand new waterproof pad and duct-taped those spots, refusing to replace it even though we paid for brand new pad that should be in brand new condition. They're requiring us to jump through hoops with additional "inspections" even though their managers have acknowledged, during multiple in-person walkthroughs, that errors (like crooked carpet install, big gaps between the trim and carpet where pad was cut too short for the space, lumps felt underfoot in areas where the pad was taped and is bunching, baseboards beat up beyond what's reasonable/expected during a carpet replacement, etc) and carpet defects still exist. We've consistently dealt with delays and I've had to keep reminding them that we're still waiting for resolution as no one on their end follows-up without being nudged. Their last check-in was in November '24. I reached out in FEBRUARY '25 to ask for a status and remind them we're STILL waiting. With multiple managers/employees cc'd, it took 4 days for a response saying they still want another inspector to come. UPDATE: We had the inspection and issues (including install errors and carpet defects) were acknowledged. The inspector said their report would be sent to Carpet Exchange the next day. It's been a week and we still haven't receieved a copy and no one there has demonstrated care or accountability in getting us taken care of. Super disappointing to still be in this position almost 1.5 years after we fulfilled our end of the contract by paying in full.
