I would put zero rating. But I was denied that option. I went to see someone about getting kitchen doors custom made. I went in September 2025. Two months before my son was born. After 3 months I called several times with no answer or call back as requested. When I finally got through to someone after 4 months, I was asked to give the dimensions and it would be looked at. This was a month ago. I have emailed three times since with no answer. A total of 5 months waiting for someone to get back to me about kitchen doors. My son will probably be graduating college before I hear anything. Absolute absurd, apparently you don’t want my business.

Totally disgusted with cashier and supervisor. I was I there this week to buy some cleaning products and the cashier had little interest in me, and more talking gossip about an employee to what seemed like a supervisor. It was clear they have little regard for customer service, and on top of that have little empathy for the employee they were openly gossiping about. This is not the first time this has happened at this store, all in hear shot of customers. I am not coming back, and will be emailing head office. Home Depot just got a new customer.

I ordered a pallet of wood expecting it to arrive as described: on a pallet and wrapped. Instead, the driver dropped all the lumber loose across my driveway. Pallet on the side and the entire order was scattered on the other.

When I called, I was told this is “just how they do it” because they don’t want to pay for a boom truck. I was also told nothing could be done and that it was supposedly my responsibility to specify that I wanted the load unloaded neatly—something any customer would reasonably expect without having to ask.

There was no solution no accountability. I have photos documenting the condition of the delivery. Posting this so others know what to expect before ordering.

Product itself is fair quality. Jeremy (South Side) at the contractor desk was a pleasure to talk to but obviously this is an internal issue at Kent. Likely with Management or Policy that ruins customer relations and loses personal connection. Get a boom on your delivery truck!! Spend the money for your customers KENT because they spend their hard earned money on your product.

Absolutely worst home improvement chain. Can't mix paint 0/5 in getting the color I select. Doesn't restock the store and certain empty shelves persist for months. Staff is not knowledgeable and not trained to solve customer issues presented by poor store operation. Wood is stored outside and area humidity means wood has to be dried before use often. Chain needs a procedure reset.

In the past weeks, I was at this location to purchase wood and other construction materials. I did not find the customer service that I expected. This happened a few times which prompted me to write this review. Management needs to do a better job at training their salespeople. I will avoid the northside location when I make major purchases or make purchases elsewhere. Very disappointed.

I bought Krylon spray paint, it SUCKED... spent $30 on two cans... no coverage. Lianne and another lady at customer service treated me like I was trying to do something wrong or sneaky by seeking my money back for a priduct that doesn't work. They wouldn't let me return it, called someone else to tell them my issue... the customer service lady turned her back to me, folded her arms and began whispering to the gentleman who was called up. They treated me like I was trying to do something wrong. My husband and I shop at this store often, and have spent over $3000 there in the last 2 weeks.... but unfortunately a $16 bottle of awful spraypaint and some horrible customer service may be the reason that we seek our paint and building supplies elsewhere when we begin our next big project in a weeks time.

Today I walked into Kent’s Fredericton to get an idea of what appliances would cost and I was looking at pricing them out. I had a budget and like many consumers I will assume, I am always wary of sales folks. Well I was introduced to a sales associate in Appliances named “Almo”. He didn’t pressure me, nor did he try to sell me anything I didn’t need. He provided clear and concise advice, knowledge and logic. I had done my research on a washer and dryer and went in prepared to price check and also self compare different models. Well I was stopped in my tracks (which is a good thing and not common) Almo knew his stuff, he was able to quote the stats, measurements and pros and cons of each unit on the floor and other units that you could order. He asked me and my spouse what we were looking for and technical question that I would never had thought of prior i.e. my distance to an outlet, my space for where there appliances needed to go and my usage of said appliance and my needs. He found a unit we liked placed it on hold and allowed me the time to go home and confirm the space and all the other technical questions I never even pondered. I also made a stop at the local competition and sure as anything, he knew the competitions prices down to the cent. When I went home, my wife and I were so impressed that we decided to seek his advice on all the other major appliances we were debating to upgrade and based upon his approach, customer care and knowledge! We are now buying a new stove, range vent cover, fridge and dishwasher. I feel completely content with this bulk purchase and I know I was not gouged or mistreated, it is refreshing to meet an honest and caring salesperson who knew what they were selling and any question I asked, he answered it and accurately.
Once we set up the initial purchase of the washer and dryer he walked me to the customer care desk and walked me through the payment setup which was also exactly as he explained the process and there were no surprises.

The prices on the initial price list were even more affordable due to the sales pricing!

The on duty manger Chris was also helpful and with the current promotion, he issued me with a gift card for which the promotion stated. The associate who also helped was Jennie, she made the financing paperwork a breeze and smooth. During my interaction with Jennie I witnessed another Kent’s customers desk employee having to deal with a very rude and what I might class as an ignorant customer. Her name is Marwa, she was super polite and professional with the rude and ignorant customer and never once showed any sign or upset or frustration. I brought this to Chris’s attention as I wanted to ensure he knew the quality of staff you have working at the Fredericton location. They are simply, an outstanding asset and should be what all sales team's are made of! I will from this point on, purchase any and all
major apply from Kent’s in Fredericton. Thank you for allowing me to share this experience.
