This review is just my two cents of frustration.Just some background - We purchased the house a few months after having the sundeck, patio and front and rear walkways coated by The One Day Floor in which the previous owner paid about $14k in mid-2022. Currently we have been in the house for about 2.5 years. Last year (2024) we noticed spots on the front walkway where the coating looks as though it’s peeled away (see attached images) and the walkway was fading quite a bit, but also found the same spots on the sundeck as well….which I thought was pretty quick to happen already since the pool deck is screened in and barely saw the sun because of all the oak trees shading it, until I had a lot of them removed last year.I called The One Day Floor office and emailed some pictures of the walkway and sundeck issues. I was promptly called back and said they would send an installer (Silas) out to look at the issues. When Silas arrived and looked at everything, he said the Florida sun can be tough on the product and that it’s not 100% UV proof, which I understand since their website states “it is 100% UV resistant in the harshest weather conditions” and I thought it would, at least, last a little longer than it did.I also showed him a spot where some pool chlorine had leaked out of the container and bleached out a spot on the rear walkway. I was told by Silas that the coating is not chemical proof either, but again their website states their product is chemical resistant to common chemicals…like chlorine? I understand that it’s just resistant and not 100% chemical proof, which it is what it is.With that said, I was told that since I’m not the original owner who had the floors coated, it’s not under any kind of warranty. What’s a bit unnerving is their website states their product to be “industrial grade polyurea concrete coating products that don’t chip or peel and are backed by a 15-year warranty”. That’s a tough pill to swallow when this product was installed about 3 years ago at a substantial cost.I talked with Joe the sales manager about what can be done to stop the spots from getting bigger, or spreading and he said it would cost me more money to have the sundeck sanded and another clear coat applied to what’s already there, but there are no guarantees that it will work.My thoughts - I don’t want to drop more money on something I feel shouldn’t even be happening for at least another 5 years or more down the road and there’s no guarantees.Let me say this - I'm not bashing The One Day Floor team who worked in installing the floor coating on the pool deck, patio, and front and rear walkways. They (Silas & Joe) were very good about explain things, but their product they used with the said “15-year warranty” I have to question. The warranty should cover the property and not the original owner at the time of the installation, because the product is warrantied…regardless of who owns it!
There are so many flooring companies to choose from and it’s hard to know which direction to go. The One Day Floor team (and I do mean TEAM!) knocked it out of the park. To a person, they are professional and downright enthusiastic about their work. They believe in their product and take pride in their work. Joe, Andrew, Kayleen, Silas and the rest of the install crew made the process painless. The guarantee behind their product speaks for itself. The finished floor looks terrific and is a great improvement Freon the cracked and stained floors. One Day Floor does a variety of surfaces and we will confidently use them again if we have other projects!
I had an excellent experience. Joe C. came out to my property and reviewed the back patio area and front patio steps leading up to my front porch to have coated. He was very friendly and respectful of my time and I was put initially on the schedule at a later date but a cancellation became available and the work was completed sooner. Now I get to enjoy my back porch sooner :) I felt the quote was reasonable considering the material is not a cheap low grade epoxy and has a 75 year life. They also offer a nice warranty on all their products and they finish the floor coating with a clear non- slip outer layer which was important since I have a dog who likes to run and play in the backyard. I am pleased with my experience, see photos for the after and before.
We love love LOVE our new floor. It looks so great that we have zero regrets. The whole experience was great. When I called they promptly replied and set up a day to get a quote. They were super clear about the process. The crew was amazing and did a very detailed cleaning afterwards. We will be returning customers.
We're super excited about how awesome our new floor turned out in our new workshop/garage. It's absolutely beautiful and seems pretty tough. Hopefully it'll wear like iron over the years. The whole process was totally painless and the "One Day Floor" team were very professional and thorough and tidy. The main installer, Silas, kept me abreast of the progress and even followed up after the job to be sure we were satisfied...same with Andrew. I usually don't do a lot of reviews...with everyone seemingly looking for validation these days. But with the exceptional service of Andrew and team I felt compelled to share our experience with them. Thanks guys for a job well done.
