We purchased carpet and installation through Empire Today, and unfortunately our experience went downhill immediately after signing the contract. Once the paperwork was completed, customer service became nearly nonexistent. On installation day, none of the installers spoke English, which made communication extremely difficult. They also appeared to be independent contractors who showed little to no regard for our home. During the installation, they scratched and damaged all of our baseboards, marked up the walls, and even damaged one of our doors. Left rolls of carpet in our driveway. To make matters worse, they attempted to have my wife sign a document written entirely in Spanish, telling her it simply stated that the flooring was complete when it was a certificate of completion trying to state everything was perfect. I immediately called and texted our sales representative. When he finally responded, he informed me that he had quit due to the company’s lack of customer care and overpricing. That was definitely not the response I expected. I contacted customer service right away and provided photos of the damage. Since then, I have not been able to get anyone to call me back or provide a meaningful update. The last communication I received was that they would “review and discuss” the matter. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. We now have property damage to address and are left chasing responses, all while preparing for our baby’s arrival. I would strongly caution anyone considering using Empire Today.
Empire Today did a fabulous job on my new floors! The installation crew was on time & very professional. They moved all my furniture, cleaned up, and put everything back just the way it was before. I highly recommend having Empire Today do your next flooring project!
Our sales consultant was Izzy Cavazos. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had the dining room, den, stairs and master bedroom done. The stairs gave them the hardest time but they made hundreds of extra cuts to make it work. They also worked the floor up under the stone at the den fireplace. Everything went well. It stayed clean and my curios, dining room furniture were fine! We have moved since then and our curios and many other items did not make it unscathed. The new owners love the floors.
We love our new floors!! We asked to make a last minute change to our order from wood risers to white ones after they had started the install, and Mr. Dion and Sheena went above and beyond to make it happen! The installers Ernesto and Cesar were also excellent, they were very quick, professional, and hardworking. Overall awesome service and beautiful floors.
We are VERY PLEASED with our new carpet & the two installers that laid it were very professional.I wish I would have gotten their names so I could acknowledge them.Chris Fry was our salesman that came out & gave us quotes & showed us different colors to look at etc.He was very nice & took the time to let us make a decision, we weren't rushed at all.This is our 3rd time to use Empire Today, 2 previous houses as well as this time.They must be doing something right!We will recommend Empire Today to our Family & Friends.
