We had to remove sections of solid hardwood to install our new dishwasher. When I spoke with Michael, he immediately assessed the effort involved and provided a quote on the spot. What convinced me to choose Meyer Floors was Michael’s honest and passionate approach to the project. I felt that he genuinely cared about his work, regardless of the size of the job.

Michael is not only honest but also an excellent communicator, whether by text or call. Throughout the project, he kept us informed about his progress and what to expect. He left the floors in better condition than they were before he started! Michael is very personable and treats your home with the same care as his own. His professionalism and experience are evident when he explains why certain things are done a particular way.

Michael worked wonders on this project (the before & after photos speak for themselves). Backstory: just bought a home, and before move-in, we discovered a brand new deep and wide scratch/gash in the beautiful hardwood floor, center of the room. I found Meyer Floors based on their great client reviews. Michael came over, assessed and gave us an estimate, scheduled us for the weekend, and three days later we have a beautifully repaired floor. The scratch is so undetectable it seems like magic, and it’s a relief to have the beautiful floor back!

Michael is clearly an expert in every sense of the word, he had a plan from the jump, and he executed it exactly as he thought it would go, zero surprises. He took his time, was communicative throughout the process, and treated it like an artisan’s work to create the desired result. Also, he is super friendly and a great listener. I let him know he has a repeat customer!

Him and his incredible colleague (Mike as well) kept us informed throughout and gave us lots of guidance and assurance throughout the whole process! Where do I begin? Mike is awesome. A true skilled tradesman who legitimately loves what he does. He cares to teach and is all about honesty and transparency. He's GREAT at what he does and I will FOREVER refer him to everyone I know. He recently finished laying new tile in our kitchen/laundry space. Our kitchen project is still in the works (see photos) and I will update with new photos as soon as we clean up a little more.

The long version:
I was referred to (Mike) Meyer Flooring in 2018 when we were looking to install vinyl planks throughout our entire home. Ultimately we went with another company for product and install. I'm telling you this so you know I actually have another experience with a flooring company. And guess what? We didn't go back to that company for this tile installation for many reasons. From the first time I met Mike, he was extremely professional and it was apparent that he knew what he was talking about.

Here we are a few years later and we're redoing our kitchen, from the ground up. I knew I didn't want to deal with the prior company... though they did an OK job and worked efficiently, it was very much about how fast they could finish the project... With Mike (Meyer Floors), he's gives a s*** about educating you (the customer) and making sure you make the right decisions. He takes time explaining the process and why he does things certain ways. He also explains how others might handle the same work and what makes something poor craftsmanship.

Unlike other companies, Mike is the one that comes out to your home for the complimentary consultation, Mike is the one that personally writes up your quote, Mike is the one you build your relationship with. He's the customer service, he's the admin, he's the craftsman, he's the owner, he's the worker. He's not sending in his "crew" who you have no idea what their work is like. Or how they will treat your home. TRUST me, we've worked with lots of contractors the past couple of years and it's such a nightmare when you're having to explain yourself a million times because the "crew" has no idea what's going on.

Mike is respectful in all ways, to you and your home. He tells you how it is and is a hard worker. He asks permission for the little things. That seems like a strange thing to point out, doesn't it? If you've been through what I've been through with contractors, this is a rarity. From asking about the water hose, to asking if he can keep his tools in a certain spot. If you're thinking about hiring him, do it. You're going to get a great price on the service and his communication/experience is priceless.

Mike is down to Earth, he's personable, he's awesome. Worth the investment. Our kitchen floor looks KILLER! We're so excited about it.

I will update this review accordingly when we have our floors cleaned up and I can get better before and after photos!!!!

Update 5/27/22 - Mike is still great. Uploaded some more photos and we have had Mike back to install our tile kitchen backsplash. Love it all.
