Doug and his crew did an amazing job... they installed vinyl flooring and carpet.. From picking out the flooring all the way to the installation doug made everything smooth and easy. They went beyond my expectations I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know and would use them in the future
We are all lucky to have a business like this in Jersey City! Doug and Gary were lovely and easy to work with. I visited the showroom but Doug was able to send me samples as well, the selection, payment, scheduling, and install went smoothly and I am very happy with the result. No doubt I'll be using Hauptman again for future projects.

Easy 5 stars! Saw several previous reviews about runner installs and popped in over the holidays to check out the options in store. Gary was tremendously helpful pointing out options for our stairs and what would be best in that sort of high traffic area, and in facilitating getting samples so we could see what looked best compared to the floors and walls. Made it easy to figure out sizing for our staircases (one is 10” narrower than the other) and for the space in between the two. Install was professional and quick, and now going up and down the stairs is 10x more enjoyable than it ever was before!
Hauptman Floors and the Solomon family are Jersey City legends! Established in 1909, Hauptman has been in business for over a century for good reason. This small business has done big things for the surrounding main street community. Supporting this family-owned business also supports local jobs and the community. They are very hardworking, honest, and you can count on them for home solutions that work. Very proud to have this business as part of our main thoroughfare. Their customer service and prices are great.
