We just had Huron flooring install hardwood in our home for the 3rd time (previously in the 90's). From working with Marsha and Larry to select the flooring to Rick and Colin's installation we could not be happier. Huron Flooring transformed our space! Our main floor was a 33 year old decor of white tile and some cherry hardwood. After many (!) trips to the showroom we chose a white oak floor to run through the entire space. Marsha and Larry were both patient and helpful with the choosing process. Also, since we didn’t replace the kitchen, the crew had the challenging task of working around the existing kitchen to chip out old tile (rough job) without destroying the cabinets. The job began on time and finished AHEAD of time. When we had a concern, it was listened to and addressed immediately. Everybody loves the warm and cohesive look of our new floors. We had an exceptional experience with Huron Flooring who recently completed installing hardwood flooring. Marsha worked closely with us including multiple visits to our home to ensure we picked the right product and coordination of how the install was going to work, including organizing movers and plumber. She visited several times during the 3 week project to ensure we were happy with the progress. The installers are professional, hard working individuals and pleasant to deal with. The floors throughout our home looks gorgeous and we thank Huron Flooring for a job well done.
We had the maple floors in our house refinished when we renovated the main floor is the house in, 2021-2022. Huron flooring was the contractor that would be out to do the refinishing work on the wood floors. What a nightmare, the floors were sanded and not done properly, the finish was applied and then the edges of the wood floor were still not sanded to remove the original flooring colour. When I called the company back to tell them that I was not happy with the workmanship, they sent the accounting person out and was to look at the work. We set up a second time that they would resend the floors and refinish the wood surface, only to notice that the sanding of the floors caused the floors to have waves across the floor. When I called back and spoke to the company, they said that was basically to bad. That they would come back out to res and but hardwood flooring can only be sanded a certain number of times before the life of the floors is removed from the product. I wrote several emails that said that I was not happy and that I was concerned of the steps that they would do to repair the floors and they said that they would file for legal action if the bill was not paid. And that they would not replace the flooring. Now I was able to do all my research and am glad that they didn’t just keep coming in to try to fix the floors but I will never use nor will I recommend them to anyone. They are only looking to get there money and not make anyone happier then the have too. The owner Larry is rude, and not personable at all. Had I have spoke to him before ever having them in to do the work, I would never of let them in my house. They are unprofessional, uncaring, and they have not pride in the workmanship that they should deliver to homeowners. I would recommend using anyone but Huron flooring. Ever. They never wanted to fix the issues and just continue to sand and try to fix the hardwood flooring. But they have sanded the floors that I am maybe able to refinish then once more before they now need to be ripped up and new floors laid. Horrible business and the own is rude and unknowledgeable. Hope that this helps anyone that is looking to refinish there floors.
