Tiantian spent time with me, helping me understand the differences among the various types of flooring. He was extremely patient with me. He is very knowledgeable about the flooring products in the store and I ended up choosing a product that suits my needs perfectly. The price was great too. Even the contractor who installed the floor was impressed! I highly recommend Tiantian. The service he provided was outstanding. I hope his boss realizes what a gem he is!
Tiantian was also very helpful. We were initially hesitant to proceed with the purchase because the pickup location was quite far. Tiantian went above and beyond by arranging free delivery to our door. That really impressed us. Overall, we are very satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!
I visited Flooring Liquidators to choose flooring materials, and Veronica helped me throughout the process. She was extremely professional, attentive, detail-oriented, and very responsible. It was a great experience working with her.
I saw my last review got deleted so I will write again and again. We had a very unpleasant experiences interacting with this store and its supplier — Sherwood Forest Products. We received horrible quality hardwood floors and had a home inspection a week later. I had never ever met anyone who is so rude and ignorant like Carol from Sherwood Forests Products. She treated me like I am non-existent (she block my camera when I was taking video of this brand-new box) and took pictures of my house (plywood, thermostat and humidifier) without my permission or any explanation. I told Flooring liquidator my concern and the store manager said they cannot control how their supplier behave in my home. In the end, they blamed us for our home environment being too cold (then why is my contractor wearing a short-sleeve shirt?? Did I force him to do so?) and our contractor is unprofessional and inexperienced. They suggested us to use their installation services and gave us a quote of $5740 for a 1500 sqft space (without any removal or baseboards installation) which is ridiculous. The manager cannot provide any solution but shift responsibility to the manufacturer, installer and even the installation manager. There is simply no solution offered. We need to bring back the defective products to their manufacturers warehouse and wait for them to do the inspection again. This is so ridiculous. I will definitely bring this matter to Ontario consumer board and take legal action towards Flooring Liquidator and Sherwood. For clarification, I’m just a super angry customer who is willing to do anything to defend my rights. I intend to have my time wasted on studying consumer law.
We have been loyal Flooring Liquidators customers in the past, working with them on two previous renovations, but our recent experience has been extremely disappointing. The problems started when we selected a floor sample in the store that appeared clean and without defects. We specifically chose this product because it had no visible black marks, which was important to us. However, the product we received was riddled with large black marks and knots, completely misrepresenting what we were shown in the store. This was incredibly frustrating, as we avoided other options for this very reason. To make matters worse, the sales representative (who is no longer employed at the store) failed to inform us of key details, such as the fact that the wood grade in the store sample didn't match the actual product we would be receiving. We also weren’t told that we needed to acclimate the wood before installation, which caused unnecessary delays, or advised to inspect the full shipment beforehand.Once the installation crew began, it became clear that half of the planks were subpar – full of black marks and imperfections. We had no choice but to send them away, costing us an additional $350 for the delay. When we contacted the store to resolve the issue, we were told that our original representative was no longer available. The store manager was unhelpful and blamed us for not checking all 15 boxes of wood before the crew arrived. However, we were told that if we opened the boxes, we couldn’t return them, so it was impossible to inspect the product properly. He also accused us of not understanding their grading system – something the sales representative never explained to us. We felt completely misled. The "solution" they offered was disappointing: one free box of wood from the manufacturer and 10% off our materials cost (this equate to a total of less than 2.5 boxes, though more than half of our order of 15 boxes was unusable and non-refundable). On top of that, they demanded we pay an additional $150 for shipping the replacement wood. So, in the end, we’re looking at an extra $1,000 in costs just to finish the project – and it still won’t match the quality of the sample we were shown. It took over two weeks to secure the additional boxes we needed to finish the project, delaying our renovation by nearly a month. And, to top it off, the installation crew damaged our bathroom tile during the initial installation.Overall, this has been an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. The lack of communication, poor product quality, and terrible customer service have left us completely dissatisfied. We strongly advise against using Flooring Liquidators, especially after being misled and having to deal with so many avoidable issues.
