Menards

We went in to buy products for a bathroom remodel. We bought a shower kit, vanity, mirror, toilet, light/fan combo, and a few accessories. Most of what we bought was on sale, not including the 11% rebate. The star of our vist, however, was Martha. Hands down the best associate we've ever had. She was in plumbing, heard us talking about what we were looking for and jumped in. She, without hesitation, was able to walk us to every product we needed; from her department to the next. I had to ask her how long she worked there because she knew the place like the back of her hand. Only 2 years!!! I practically had to jog to keep up with her! Martha, I hope you see this. You're the best!

Ordered some items on line to be picked up at Menards in Marquette.
Picked up the order but didn’t know how to get a 11% rebate slip.
Kelsey, who worked the front desk, tried to explain it to me.
She took my phone and printed the form right there!!!

I’m giving 4 stars because I typically love going to Menards but today was horrible. I basically have an issue with a front end manager. Our shopping trip didn’t go as well as planned because an order couldn’t be found but after some searching we got it figured out. Most everything else was good until we went to check out. The guy checking us out was rude and made a scene because he needed to ask a manager to come over for a payment to be taken via phone. My brother was purchasing over 4k in stuff and he wanted to pay by phone because he’s not in Michigan yet. The order had to be placed for delivery in person. He paid over the phone for other very large orders over the last few months. The manager who was summoned to enter his info was even more rude than the kid checking us out. He looked at me and said “one time and one time only”. I said I’m sorry, what? He snarled at me and said, “I said one time, and one time ONLY”. Wow!
I guess policies are policies but dang, it’s money and I’d think if they didn’t want to accommodate the purchase, there is a better way to say it.
He was rude and made a scene that we bothered him to do this and made sure we knew this was the LAST time. My brother has spent over 40k there since February. If Menards doesn’t want his money, I bet Lowe’s would be happy to take it.
