Great place! Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Lots of products in stock, even some hard-to-find items. Showroom is clean and well-lit, with lots of items on display. Can't beat the cedar aroma when you walk in! Nathan was prompt in replying to phone calls and emails. The delivery driver, Frank, was friendly and helpful in unloading all the materials where I wanted them. I will for sure be giving Sound Cedar more business in the future. 5 stars plus!
I paid for tight knot and did not receive tight knot cedar 2x6s. After emailing the owner of Sound Cedar pictures of cedar boards showing knots over 3 inches he said I should contact the Canadian lumber mill where he bought them. Needless to say, this did not sit well with me and I insisted on replacements. The Sound Cedar owner required I pay a $100 delivery fee, which I was forced to pay IMO, to replace the boards. Attached are pictures of the NOT tight knot lumber they delivered when I was not at my houseDon’t get cheated by the owner of this company
Excellent company, excellent product, excellent customer service. Ordered a ton of jumbo split rails for fencing project, company clearly expert with cedar products compared to competition, fairly priced, delivered within a week to the San Juans. Even sent extra products without up charge. I couldn't be happier with the product or this company. Class act. Thanks very much I'll definitely be sourcing cedar products in the future here.
