I hired Wood Flooring Doctor to professionally sand and finish newly installed red oak hardwood flooring. The results were excellent. I found WFD to be exemplary in 3 areas: 1) it was apparent that work crew was highly skilled and truly cared about the end result, 2) the crew was experienced in properly applying (and not overapplying) Bona finish products, including somewhat tricky NaturalSeal, 3) Felix stopped by the house each day to check on progress and inspect the work. I found the pricing to be very reasonable in relation to the quality of the work performed. The house was properly protected from dust and I did not observe any shortcuts being taken. I plan to hire them again for future flooring work.

As first-time homebuyers, we needed a professional to repair and refinish the floors in our house. The previous owner had a large dog, and the floors were not well-maintained. They had scratches, dirt from shoes, and scuffed black marks all over.After researching, we decided to contact Wood Flooring Doctor, attracted by their impressive five-star Google reviews. Just two days after our initial phone call, Felix, the owner, came to measure the space and assess the condition of our floors.Felix was thorough in explaining the pros and cons of water-based versus oil-based finishes for our flooring situation. He also presented us with samples of wood stain colors to choose from. We appreciated Felix's honesty; there were no hidden fees, and the pricing was fair. Additionally, his attitude of treating our home as if it were his own, along with being a proud family man, really stood out to us.We are grateful for the meticulous work that Felix and his team, including Fabio, did on our flooring. The first day was the longest for them, involving sanding, vacuuming, and carefully shielding and taping off the area to prevent dust from spreading to other rooms. They arrived in the morning and worked late into the evening. The next day was dedicated to staining, and the final three days involved applying multiple coats that required 24 hours to dry before the next one could be applied. The entire process took five days because we chose an oil-based finish for three coats, but it was well worth the time for the beautiful, durable floor!We feel fortunate to have worked with Wood Flooring Doctor, thanks to their professionalism, good communication, and kind-hearted approach. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work Felix and his team did on my wood floors! After a previous contractor made a mess of the job, I was hesitant to find someone who could fix the issues( i took a month to call even with the great reviews) . Felix came in and completely exceeded my expectations. Not only did he quickly identify what went wrong with the original installation, but he also provided clear explanations of what needed to be done to correct it.From start to finish, Felix was professional, approachable, and informative, taking the time to explain every step of the process. The ranch style house I was living in had hardwood floors that were stained in some areas and I wanted to touch them up. He was more than happy to come to my house and give me a consultation, explained the professional flooring/refinished process in an easy to understand way and most importantly he was not pushy. We decided to hire Wood Flooring Doctor to refinish our floors and he and his team did a great job on the floors in a short amount of time. Especially after sanding the floor, Felix showed his meticulousness in choosing a color by coating a sample of the floor color I wanted on it. He never frowned and always had a smile on his face which made me feel comfortable as a client. He and his team never missed a single appointment during the entire flooring project and they did a great job and even provided after sales service.
