We had Jeff and his company in our house for two bathroom projects in 2021. They are incredibly polite, respectful and their design work and final product were outstanding. Our relationship has continued to several smaller projects and Jeff and his team are exceptionally responsive and great to work with.

Our ceiling is now damaged due to a leak caused by this company. Do not use them!! You will pay twice!!

It saddens me to have to write this review as I had high hopes for Jeff and his company but I feel compelled to warn others about what happened to us recently.

Jeff was contracted to renovate 2 bathrooms of ours. The first bathroom was a simple “rip out and replace” while the master was going to take a bit more work. He told us he would need no more than 6 weeks to complete and would have the projects completed by Thanksgiving (as he knew we were having family come stay with us and we needed a functioning bathroom).

Fast forward 6+ weeks and we are without two renovated bathrooms. The first bathroom was not completed and he didn’t even attempt to start the second one. He walked off the job leaving us hanging.

There are nothing but problems with the bathroom that he partially completed. Biggest issue being all the chipped tiles. He will say it was the tile we chose (a very expensive Dolomiti marble that he kept referring to as sugar marble).

We spoke with several other tile experts after who looked at the job and stated whomever installed this did not know what they were doing and were not comfortable installing tile. That is the truth.

Jeff offered to redo one wall and after that we were content with that wall. It wasn’t perfect - but acceptable. The other walls (and one wall in particular) is totally unacceptable. I am embarrassed to even show company.

My husband and I aren’t novices when it comes to home improvement. He owns his own glass business and we generally do most home projects ourselves (but this was one we didn’t have time or energy to take on right now). That was a big mistake. We would have saved ourselves a lot of money, time and aggravation.

From the start of the project there were issues. It was clear the employee Jeff sent to our job was inexperienced in the work he was being asked to do and many times I would see them sitting in the driveway or my garage with hours upon hours of down time.

Jeff was not forthcoming about his situation (I will leave it at that) and so we paid the price.

Some of the issues:

- The bathtub is out of level (it’s clear when you sit in it and we took a level to it)
- they took a grinder to the toilet which sprayed molten metal all over the brand new toilet
- the paint is very sloppy
- they left the shower valve screaming bc it was dirty (we had to buy a new one and replace)
- They chipped many of the tiles during installation.

At what point do you stop installing tile and say to yourself “wait a minute— something is off” or “I am doing something wrong.”Nope, they continued to improperly install and damage dozens of brand new marble tiles. Jeff’s solution was to sand and reglaze them bc then you “wouldn’t notice”. Needless to say, I did not approve of that idea. There should be no reason to further ruin brand new marble tile that was thousands of dollars.

We feel very much taken advantage of. Maybe that’s what I get for being so hands off and treating them like family letting them come in and out of my home (even when I wasn’t present). I am not a micromanager like some clients can be … I trusted these guys. We even spoke about our families and I empathized with Jeff. But how he left this job is disgraceful. Would this fly in your home Jeff?

Jeff never offered a refund. He bought the replacement tiles and dropped it off and said “sorry about this”. I was actually too shocked for words… pictures of how our bathroom was left.

Jeff worked in my house for 4 months and did a great job, he remodel two bathrooms he also tiled 2500 sq feet of my entire home. He also removed doors, windows, chopped out flooring, relocated plumbing, did all my gas lines to my generator new hot water heater ac unit . He also painted my entire house and fixed all the walls. I dealt with plenty of contractors over the years. Jeff was the most honest. About what things were gonna cost and how long they were going to take and the prices that he charged were more than reasonable. I was very happy with all his work.

Jeff and his crew at Beyond Restoration were recommended to me for a deck repair job at my home and I am happy to have found them. I can see why people use them for kitchen, bathroom and larger home renovations. They were professional, prompt and skilled. When my work was complete, it was like they were never at my home. Clean and efficient but most importantly, they care about the customers satisfaction above all. I will definitely be calling Jeff when my next big home project is ready and you should too. You won’t be disappointed.
