Very happy with the service and installation of my new flooring. My sales rep was Kirsten. She was very knowledgeable and personable. Picking out my flooring for my forever home was a big decision. I love how it turned out. Thank you, Sunshine Carpet and Flooring, for making the renovations as stress-free as possible.
So we just moved around and we were looking for local places for our materials and renovation to help the local and family business.So we found out about sunshine. Great reviews on google so we went there.They do have a LOT of options which will make you feel a little lost. I think would be really helpful if they had a label area in the store to help guide you where to go or what you are looking at.I am the type of customer that I like to look around check prices and once I know what I want or have actually a question then I seek someone’s help. But there you will need someone to look up the price for every item you need and they write it at the back of a business card. Which Is not a deal breaker but make me feel that is not super professional and if you have more than 4 items to check will become a little messy to read, so if they could upgrade it to an actually invoice-type paper, printed, with the details and final price from the total sq.ft would look way better.And having the price showing up at the item is just better than having to ask on every item you wanna check. And if the concern is that the price might chance from time to time. Just add an estimate so the person has a clue if that will cost 100$ or 1000000$.At the beginning we were no sure on colours or anything and I thought we would have some sort of consultation, but unless you go with all the questions written down, you better know what you want.I liked the fact that you can take samples at home they are 1sq.ft, however, that kind of tricked me. Because vinyls have a big variation in colours for the same colour code. And when we installed ours I liked but was not even closed to the sample we got from the store.Closing the deal was easy. If they don’t have something in stock they order and usually takes a week.I found the delivery super charged. For a 25min drive. So we brought the stuffs ourselves. And they were very helpful with that.Now we had some issues with the vinyls.First 2 boxes came damaged they told us and orders a replacement which was nice.But once we started loading the car. We found 2 more damaged. But we could not wait for a replacement. And they should have offered a financial compensation right the way for these boxes and the fact there were a quality issue. But nothing happened so we ended up taking the risk and took the damaged boxes over.During the installation. We found another quality issue. In some random boxes the vinyl plank came half sized, not cut, but in fact smaller than others. And that happened to few boxes. (3 out of 42) so we ended up user more boxes that we needed and we could not use the extra to finish another small room, I reported the problem and again they didn’t offered any compensation.I am still giving 4 out of 5 starts to the store because I understand that I take part of the blame because I didn’t clearly asked for some money back on these issues.If I ended up doing business with them again, I won’t be that naive.And if you can don’t pick the same brand I did. Clearly not a solid quality control. And was of the premium/luxury quality vinyls.
Our Sales Rep Lee-Ann is amazing. She took the time to help us pick out flooring for our cottage and we couldn't be happier with our choice. She is certainly an expert in her field and we are very grateful for her patience and customer service. Floors arrived a bit late, but she maintained regular communication and even setup a pickup while I was in the GTA in order to get the additional nosings for the installer quicker. We are very happy with Sunshine Carpet and Flooring, they are our new "go to"! I highly recommend them and Lee-Ann, of course. Thank you!!
We are building a house and I have spent several hours here with Kirsten picking out all my flooring. She has been extremely patient with me and has such great ideas for design. I will forever be a loyal customer. There is such a wide variety of products too.
