Very welcoming and friendly! I went looking for a scrap piece of rug/carpet for my cat, and they only had 1 piece available, but gave it to me free of charge despite offering multiple times to pay. Thank you so much even if it was nothing for you guys!
Recently had new carpet installed in my upstairs hallway and two large flights of stairs. The installers were on time and did a great job. I’ve had so many compliments on the new look. And best of all the cost was less than I expected when we decided it was finally time to replace the old carpet.
Extremely Disappointing Experience—Six Weeks WastedMy experience with End of the Roll Ottawa East was profoundly frustrating and demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and lack of customer service. On October 21st, I placed an order for hardwood stair nosing. When I called four weeks later for an update, the problems began. Over the next two weeks, I was forced to make over 40 phone calls simply trying to locate my order. No one—not a single person—could provide me with a clear answer or update on the flooring's status. The failure of management to follow through was unacceptable. Vinnie, the store manager, promised to return my calls multiple times but consistently failed to do so. Chad, who originally took my order, was equally unresponsive and never followed up.The team repeatedly stalled by promising the floor would arrive "tomorrow" for more than a week, dragging out the uncertainty. Ultimately, because absolutely no one could tell me what was happening or when the order would actually be completed, I was forced to cancel the order and request a refund today, November 29, 2025.This disorganized chaos wasted six critical weeks of my time and brought our entire home renovation project to a standstill. The complete lack of communication and accountability from the staff and management is a serious issue. I strongly advise prospective customers to look elsewhere if they value their time and expect basic communication.
Excellent price and quality. They were able to accommodate my short timelines and installation was superior. As a landlord I always go to End of the Roll for all my carpet needs. Would do so again
To the woman bragging about her 43 years at this company — the same woman who hung up on me twice in one day.First, you said my story was “taking too much time.” Then you blamed my attitude. Well yes, I had a bad attitude — your company made a mistake in my home and refused to correct it. How do you expect a customer to react? Experience means nothing if you treat clients with that kind of disrespect. If you can’t handle frustrated customers, stop answering phones and let someone with empathy and ambition do the job. Here’s what happened: the installer showed up late, complained about the order, and told me the style I was sold wasn’t even the one they planned to install. What I paid for and what I got were not the same thing. When I called to resolve it, I was dismissed, hung up on, and promised the owners would call me back. My phone is still on. Still no call. The installer also admitted they had no plan to wrap my stairs — even though it was on the invoice I paid for. He claimed it wasn’t included and didn’t want to do it because he was running late for his next job. Only at the end of the day did I finally confirm that yes, we paid for open-case wrapped steps. Instead, I was left with a half-finished mess.My background: I work in the window and door industry myself. I know jobs don’t always go perfectly. But reputable companies own their mistakes. This one doesn’t. Instead, they demand full payment upfront and process credit cards over the phone without proper authorization. Good luck showing the bank a signed slip when I cancel. For comparison — our company collects payment only when the job is completed properly. That’s the difference between professionalism & knowing your subcontractors will do the job right vs take payment first and cutting corners with no recourse. Credit card payment canceled for services un delivered.Being in business 43 years is meaningless if this is how you treat customers. Cheap carpet is one thing. Cheap tricks are another. Think twice before trusting them with your home.
