I recently had my kitchen remodeled through this company. I had Rolando come out to give me a quote and he had excellent ideas on how to add Cabinets to my island. I also had a quartz countertop installed as well. As we working on the island, we had to remove some tile in my kitchen flooring so at that time, I decided to do wood plank tile. Alex, the cabinet guy proceeded to do the kitchen island cabinets and he matched the stain on the cabinets perfectly. I was really happy with The quality of work. After the cabinets and quartz countertops were completed, they started on my wood plank tile in the kitchen. I extended it to go into the dining room. I would definitely recommend Specialized Flooring to my friends and Family.
Would not use this company for anything. After our designer recommended this company, regardless of reviews, we trusted her and had new flooring installed, new baseboards installed, new kitchen island installed, new countertops & backsplash, new interior doors installed and kitchen cabinets painted. Baseboards are HORRIBLE, and kitchen island still NOT LEVEL after we had to request 3 attempts. Instead of shimming from the bottom with correct shimming material, they first tried to bandaid it with caulking, then when called out, they used leftover trim and did it from the top of cabinets so it is still not level. Island was $4K not including quartz top. We finally gave up and will pay for another contractor to level island and clean up baseboards. Our backsplash looks good but a few tiles are cracked. Doors and shutters not rehung properly and screws are stripped. Roland is patient and wanted to make things right, but when we tried to contact him to install cabinet trim that was missing in office area after the final payment was made, he never responded. So much for 2 year warranty. With the high cost and poor quality work, we would not recommend this company for anything.
We went with Specialized Flooring about 9 years ago to install tile throughout our house and tile our master shower. The flooring tiles have broken over the years and we finally went with a different company to replace them... about 14 total. Every single tile, turns out, was not laid properly. The thin set was not installed properly (see pictures) - no wonder we have been having tiles break. The install guys were late every single day. They used our master bathroom toilet to relieve themselves and made a disgusting mess. The master shower tile job is a whole different story - let's just say, terrible attention to detail and workmanship - sharp edges, edges that don't line up - we are working on tearing that out soon, so I don't know yet what is underneath it all. Upon initial install, they left the shower valve open and caused a water leak in our wall. Their solution was to offer us a dinner gift card - we were young, and first time home buyers and they took advantage of us and unfortunately we did not know any better. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go with this company! RUN! I just wish we knew better. I wish I could give zero stars. Oh and don't bother asking to have the come out and do any repairs, they say they will and never come or call you back. I don't know how this company is in business.
This company came recommended by 2 of my family members that had flooring done, so we decided to use them. We had no issues with installation, the issues arose when we needed someone to come back out to fix a couple areas where the laminate was lifting from the underlayment they put down over the tile, causing a bubble or raised area in the flooring. We reached out to David on SEVERAL occasions to have him send out an installer to fix the area. David took several days, to respond if he responded at all, he then referred me to the installer Erick to set up time with him. I did reach out to Erick only to be told that he no longer works for the company. Messaged David again to tell him Erick would not be coming out and that Erick stated he no longer worked for the company for over a year, also advised him that I didn't know what kind of games he (David) was playing. David did call back and stated angerly that he wasn't playing games and that Erick did side work for him, and if he couldn't get Erick to come out he would send another installer, which still has not happened. This has been going on now for over a month AND STILL we have not resolved the issue and have yet to hear back from David with a date or time when someone can come out to fix the issue. I would not recommend this company to do any work especially if you have issues down the road because you will not get them resolved in a timely manner. Customer service and follow through is defiantly lacking with this company. What I also did not appreciate is being yelled at over the phone when I called him out for giving me the run around and playing games on who I needed to reach out to only to be told he (erick) no longer works for them, who does that? I would not recommend this company to anyone due to the fact if you do have an issue who knows if you will ever get it resolved.
I was referred to Specialized Flooring by a friend who had flooring installed in two separate homes. I was nervous because I this was my first remodel that would involve three bathrooms. My in-home consultation was quickly scheduled and the owner, Rolan, arrived on time. Rolan was very helpful and provided lots of ideas to update our 20-year old bathrooms. We stopped by the store, were shown several options and found the perfect tiles, mosiacs, shower fixtures and tub to match my home decor. The work was scheduled and took only seven days to complete. The guys who completed the work were great. They arrived at 9am everyday and worked continuous until early evening and kept us in the loop with their progress. Rolan and Arnold stopped-by several times to check on the progress. Rolan even took care of a late sink addition that I decided to add after the project was underway. When the project was complete, Rolan and Arnold arrived for the walk-thru. We were completely satisfied with the work from start to finish. I'm so grateful that I had a great experience that ended with three beautiful bathrooms and a team of professionals that I'd do business with again.
