Best Flooring Experience Ever – California Carpets & Design Center Deserves 10 Stars!I wish I could give more than 5 stars because California Carpets & Design Center in Rocklin truly went above and beyond for us. From start to finish, this was hands-down the best home-improvement experience we’ve ever had.Our house was built in 1977 and still had the original carpets (yes, the same shag-tastic, 40+ year-old carpets the previous owner installed in the early 80s). It was desperately dated and in need of a total refresh.As we moved to the area from out of town, we didn’t know anyone in the local flooring industry. All we knew was that we needed our floors completely replaced. California Carpets came recommended and using them was one of the best decisions we made. The owner personally spent hours with us, patiently showing options, explaining the pros and cons of different materials, helping us choose colors that would complement our new paint, and ultimately helping us find a gorgeous, high-quality laminate that looks like real hardwood but was surprisingly affordable. No pressure, no upselling… just honest, expert guidance.The installation crew was phenomenal: professional, meticulous, and genuinely careful in our home. We hired California Carpets to put new floors and new baseboard in our 2000+ square foot home. I was impressed with the entire experience, especially how the owner, Pam, personally oversaw so much of the process herself. When we first visited the showroom, she showed us the various options, and helped us select the product that met our needs and our budget. She then encouraged us to take the sample home so we could see how it looks with our home's lighting, paint, etc. She came herself to take measurements and got us the estimate to us via email rapidly. We ordered the flooring, and as soon as it arrived, she had a team out to install the next business day. The workers did a fabulous job and finished within the promised 5 day time frame. A few days later, we noticed a small chip in a board - we called Pam and she sent someone out same-day. The fixed it beautifully. We couldn't be happier!
We’ve worked with California Carpets several times now (one large hardwood installation project and a smaller LVP project) and have been continually impressed by their professionalism and work quality. Their communication, follow through and commitment to the job is pretty unique these days and definitely appreciated. Really great people who do fantastic work!
