Wow! We were absolutely BLOWN AWAY with the job done by Salem Hardwood Floors! Before and after posted of our 1947 original hardwoods. The quality of Salem Hardwoods work should speak for itself! WOW!!! They applied a Swedish finish to our floors and left them looking better than new! The finish brought out a color and shine we never would've imagined. Also, the people with Salem Hardwoods were so incredible to work with! Dave showed up quickly to give us a bid. It was clear he knew his stuff. And the pricing was very fair. The sanders/finishers and carpenter (who laid the base shoe) showed up exactly when they said they would. They were extremely professional and operated with a lot of precision and care. From beginning to end, there is nothing I would change about my experience. We are positively delighted with our floors!
Refinished the oak floors in our 1950 home. Dave explained everything clearly, gave a reasonable quote, and had his people show up on time to do the work -- sanding, puttying butt joints, finishing, and buffing. His crew is professional and high-quality, and the floor is gorgeous.

Dave and his employees did such a great job! As part of our closing arrangement we had to get the floors done in our new home on a time crunch and in addition to making sure we met our deadline, Dave consistently took into account other renovation projects happening at the same time in order to make sure his work was completed smoothly. Even after the completion of the installation, I've called Dave up more than once, for advice and help on how to approach continued renovations in our home and he's been super in getting things done! I highly recommend Salem Hardwood Floors to anyone!
Dave and his crew were fantastic. We loved the job that they did. I was going to go with a water base finish and Dave was able to show me the difference from water and oil. I went with the oil and so happy that I did. It shows the beauty of the oak, whereas water base tends to cover that. They finished the floors in just a few days, whereas the others that bid us, priced higher by the way, told us that they would be 6 to 14 days. Wonderful company! 3 Bids and Salem Hardwood Floors was the one!
