I recently hired Don at Connecticut Flooring Solutions to replace the flooring throughout my entire upstairs and to refinish the downstairs to match the new floors and I am very happy with the results.

I received a quote from a well-known national company, but after discovering Don's local company through a Google search, I decided to bring him in for a comparison. I was impressed by Don's depth of knowledge. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, including those I didn't even realize I should be asking.

The attention to detail in his crew's work is outstanding, ensuring a finish that not only meets but exceeds expectations. Throughout the project, Don's communication was excellent. He kept me informed about what to expect each day, and everything he promised was delivered on time.

I purchased carpet through Don and his guys installed it my bedroom last year, they did an amazing job. He was great to work with, honest, upfront, and very quick. He came out, quoted and had the job complete within a week. We are having them back to do another bedroom very soon!

Flooring Solutions is scam.

I would never hire this company again. When I first hired Don and he gave me a reasonable quote. I was upfront that I had bought the flooring and just needed someone to install it. Don was very nice and even said he would provide transition flooring for the doorways. So unfortunately the day of installation came and I ended up being short a couple of boxes. Since I didn’t get enough flooring Don told me they had to come back and to give him a call to reschedule.
This is where the problems started. Don was suddenly very hard to contact and it took MONTHS for them to come finish. When they came the workers asked why I didn't have the door transition strips for them to install. I was confused because Don had told me that he would provide them. I called Don who claimed I had apparently told to him that I would supply the doorway strips. Why would I say that when he was offering me such a great deal??? Don promised they would come back a third time to finish the transition strips once I acquired them.

So the men left after “finishing” the flooring and promised to return to install the transitions. It came as such a lovely surprise that they had left a section of the flooring unfinished and conveniently covered the unfinished section with the leftover flooring boxes. I can’t fathom why them left a section undone when there was more than enough flooring left to complete the job.

The first installation was in early SEPTEMBER 2022, it is now mid MARCH 2023. I have bought and installed all the doorway transition strips myself and part of my floor remains unfinished. Don doesn't pick up when I call and never responds to voicemails. I’ve been trying to contact him for months, but he just keeps dodging my calls. It seems extremely convenient that Don became impossible to reach after receiving payment for the job. I wish I’d known Don was going to leave me with shoddy work and unfulfilled promises. Had I known, I would’ve gone with a real flooring company. Unfortunately I didn’t know and went with the scam artist.
