They have great prices and a large selection, but their customer service is horrible. I emailed ahead and asked for an order of 12 foot boards, cut in half. I was sent a reply and told that they'll be ready for Friday morning. There was no mention of having to put a deposit. I got there and they wanted to put all the uncut 12 footers in the back of my truck. One young man I dealt with called me 'lady' and the older man at the front spoke to me like I was an annoying little girl. He said it clearly states on their website that you have to pay first. I said that I didn't explore their website and opted to contact them directly. He just stared at me with one eyebrow raised and then sarcastically told me to have a great day. I was really excited to find a dealer that sells rough lumber, as I am starting a custom woodworking business, but I left so disappointed. Maybe it would have been different if I was male. I definitely got that impression. Unfortunately I'll have to look elsewhere for my rough lumber as I build my business. ??

Called at 3:30 with a good sized list of lumber needs, some of it needed cut. At 4:45 I arrived and they dropped this onto my trailer. Simple, easy, and a perfect bundle of exactly what we needed. I’ll never buy lumber anywhere else.
An organization full of helpful and nice people, Ms. Sarah Yaremchuk particularly is very prompt in responding our enquiry and got all our things done within 12 hours since we have sent our request.I have gone through all the hardware store, The Home Depot, The Canadian Tire, Edmonton Nut and Bolt and unable to find what I want but the problem was solved right away when I first approached Golden Spike Lumber Sales.
