Luminous flooring did a wonderful job, from start to finish! Daniel was great to work with and helped us find a floor to match our existing kitchen floor to carry throughout the rest of our home. DJ was the crew lead and did an amazing job installing our floor! He was professional, courteous, respectful and has a remarkable work ethic! I would hire luminous flooring again and again!
First, the good: Luminous is very easy to deal with. They came out quickly to quote and basically started the work the next week. Their showroom is great and their reps are knowledgeable and polite. Communication was lacking, however, and I never knew when the team would be arriving, or what they would be working on unless I asked specifically.The bad: The team came to remove the old carpet and baseboards while I was out of town, and install was to begin on Monday after I arrived back. However, without telling me, they began install on Friday. The trouble is I had planned to clean and secure the old subfloor myself before install (luminous assured me they would prepare the subfloor and secure any loose boards, but to be honest I didn’t trust this.)Unfortunately, my hunch was correct and they did not clean the subfloor or secure any boards, so the portion that they installed has squeaks and cracks as you walk on it. In the attached photo, you can see that they literally installed a run over old, loose floor tile and debris. The remaining visible floor tiles took me about 2 minutes to remove. And instead of removing the previous run of boards to clean out the debris underneath, they just continued on. And now there is a noticeable dip in the floor where the debris sits under the new floor.There are also noticeable gaps between several boards, which will now catch dust and dirt.When I brought these issues up, I was told that my rep would be visiting the site to see what could be done to fix the issues. I am not aware of any visit, nor was any solution proposed. At the very least I expected a discount in return for the subpar work performed, but none was offered.Bottom line, they do an okay job with actual installation, but with no attention to detail. I wouldn’t recommend going with luminous, but if you do, watch their installers like a hawk and don’t let them cut corners like they did with our floor.

We had Luminous Flooring sand and stain our 26 year old oak floors. They turned out beautiful!Tom and Alex did the work and they were great to work with. They were extremely nice and respectful of our property. Working with them was a great experience and I would highly recommend them.
We were referred to Luminous Flooring and could not be happier with the result! Their team was friendly and helpful from the start: they were very open about pricing, flexible with scheduling, and communicated clearly every step of the way. In this review you can see what the floor looked like before, which was missing baseboards and had glued on linoleum tiles. Within a few days, Luminous had the room completely transformed! They restored the natural hardwood, put in a patch for us where we had planks missing seamlessly, and brought the floor and baseboards to life.They were meticulous with finding out exactly the right wood species for the patch, gave us multiple options for the stain to stay true to the color of the other floors, and took every step to make sure the work was done right and done well. A special thanks to Josh, Lloyd, Matt, and the rest of the Luminous Team. Most importantly a huge thank you to Grace who answered all of my phone calls and patiently helped me with every detail and question! We loved our experience, and we would recommend them to everyone we know!
