Reviews frequently highlight responsive scheduling, fair pricing compared with big-box quotes, and fast installation timelines. Several customers mention clean job sites and courteous crews. A smaller number of reviews describe problems with tile backsplash workmanship and post-installation follow-up, citing uneven tiles and grout issues. Overall sentiment trends positive with occasional concerns about quality control on specific projects.
Stay away from this store! Terrible service after they got our money. Owner is non-responsive. They installed new flooring and kitchen backsplash and did a terrible job. The backsplash tiles are uneven; the "lippage" is way beyond acceptable limits. Some tiles are broken or poorly cut. There are spots where they did not install any grout. They did not cover our countertops, so there was grout we had to remove from the countertops and floor. We're still hoping the owner will respond.
Well it started out that we planned on using a major brand construction store (Orange logo) and the price they gave us seemed way to high for one room, almost 4000.00. That was not a deal by no means. We are new to the area, and we had been passing by H&R several times and decided to check them out. That had to have been the best decision we made. Not only did they come out way cheaper about (1500.00) but they had it installed the next day. Room looks great and our pocket book stayed affordable. I would highly suggest checking out H&R before going to the big box stores. They have a great selection in-house but can also order in for the ones they don't, box stores can be cheap in some regard but give small businesses a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised. H&R will be our go to store for all our flooring needs!!
H&R quickly responded to my request to measure rooms requiring subfloor repair and new vinyl flooring for our kitchen and laundry area. The work was scheduled the following week and completed in one day. The price was very reasonable. They also referred me to a highly skilled wood floor refinishing contractor. The flooring turned out great. The house is ready for sale and a fresh coat of paint.
I can’t say enough about H and R. From start to finish was a great experience . Everything went just as the owner said it would go. The workers were very professional and did an excellent job. When they were finished they cleaned up very well
I hope I can spare someone else from the disappointment, frustration, and regret that I am feeling about hiring H & R Flooring in West, TX to put in my new floor and kitchen backsplash. Things started off great: they had many recommendations from people I knew in my community and the online reviews were terrific. Our visit to the showroom was encouraging and we left feeling confident that we were in good hands. Not. The quality of the workmanship was not at all what I thought I was paying for. This is not the first kitchen I have redone, and I am aware of how quality work should look. The owner has not responded to my concerns. Our floor has bubbles and even though the installer applied compound to even out the surface, there is a small hill in the middle of my living room. The quarter round installed was only primed, so it looks unfinished and needs to be painted. The backsplash tiles were not laid flat: there is excessive lippage in numerous places. The grout is inconsistent: some is missing, too much in other areas or too little, and the grout appears very grainy. The window tile should be bullnose all around. The bottom frame of the windowsill tile has a noticeably rough and uneven edge. There is a broken tile under one of the outlets. Grout spots were all over the granite counter. It took me several hours to locate and chip off.
