Just a quick thank you to Dave, at Stu's Flooring. I researched vinyl plank products, for my basement remodel, from many suppliers. By far, my experience at Stu's exceeded my expectations. Dave was knowledgeable and made himself available for the many visits I made before finalizing the sale. Dave called manufacturers for detailed information to answer my questions and even negotiated pricing to ease the pressure on my pocket book. Service like this seems to be scarce in our world today. I went with Washed Oak vinyl plank (SPC) from Southwind Rigid Plus and it's beautiful! If you are researching flooring for your project, stop by Stu's Flooring 2142 E. Moreland Blvd in Waukesha. We’ve had an excellent experience with Stu’s. Dave was extremely patient in helping us find the right floor for our needs. He is very knowledgeable and honest. The installers were top notch and very professional. We needed some follow-up care and they were right on top of it. Stu’s is a tried and true locally owned business. Their employees stay with them—that says a lot right there!
We have been thinking about doing wood blinds in our home for a long time. We looked into it through Costco a few years ago, but it was too pricey. We decided now, we were comfortable with spending more for the wood, so I contacted Costco again to request a contractor contact us. Stu's is the contractor that our area uses. After a few days of putting in the request, I called again because nobody reached out. It turns out,the representative had been the one to come out a few years ago. She was very short with me, to the point of making me feel like I was bothering her. She quoted via her old measurements & told me to order samples from the manufacturer. In doing that, another representative contacted me. He said he usually beats the Costco price. He came out on 10/24, had samples along, quoted me & the shades were all installed yesterday 11/2. And best of all, Exterior Motives beat her price by $498 on what we purchased, & $1,380 for a quote she gave us based on her previous trip out. I had her adjust for what we were actually getting to have a true comparable. I will be complaining to Costco about this business, their lack of customer service, & overpricing.
