Blue Crew is our go to company for any type of flooring. They are extremely skilled and professional. They have done several projects for us and I can't imagine finding a better contractor.
James and crew were wonderful to work with. They installed 1500+ sq ft of laminate flooring in a fully furnished home and replaced baseboards throughout the house. Their workmanship was outstanding. They were efficient as well as flexible including accommodating an add-on request for shoe molding. The floors look amazing and the process was made less stressful due to the expertise and professionalism of James and team. I highly recommend!
I don’t enjoy leaving a negative review, but I am somewhat less than satisfied with the experience of having carpet installed last week by James and his crew. I have had carpet installed previously by a smaller company, but was referred to Blue Crew for this larger project of having the rest of the carpet in our house replaced (2 bedrooms, 3 closets and a 3rd floor loft/attic space).The first day of the job went relatively smoothly, although communication prior to beginning had not been perfect. At the beginning of the second day, one of the installers asked if there was anything I needed them to look at before they started for the day. I asked about a seam in the room they had finished the previous day, whether it would become less visible over time. It was raining outside and the installer was wearing shoes, but he did not remove them or have coverings for them (he said later he had wiped them on the doormat). As soon as I had pointed out the issue in the otherwise flawless completed room, I turned around and saw that he had tracked a noticeable amount of mud onto the new carpet from his shoes. I was shocked. He immediately said, “Oh no, I’m so sorry, I will take care of that for you. Don’t worry.” By the end of that afternoon when they were wrapping up, I had to point out that the 5 large mud spots were still visible (although less like mud and more like dark water stains). At this point James told me it was just moisture that was drying, and I found out his installer had not explained what had happened. After hearing the explanation, James and another guy worked on the spots longer with a cleaner and steamer and told me to wait till it was dry and then let them know if a cleaning company needed to come. If you can tell from the attached photo, the spots did not look much different when they dried fully, so Sani Bright came a couple days later to clean our “brand-new” bedroom carpet. The technician that time (I discovered later) did not have the acid rinse (?) on his equipment turned up high enough, so although the carpet looked mostly better afterwards, it felt stiff to the touch from chemical residue. Sani Bright offered to come back again a few days later and re-treat that room, and it is in adequate condition now.After the job was completed, we discovered that James and his crew broke some furniture as they were moving things (thankfully my husband fixed it with construction glue), left large dirty handprints in multiple places on the walls of our second floor hallway, and cut one of the stair tread pieces of carpet a little too short to reach all the way across—but instead of redoing that stair, I found they had just cut an additional thin slice and laid it loosely next to the larger piece to cover the gap (!!). This was annoying to find, although my husband convinced me that it was a small enough issue I should let it go, just squint my eyes when I walk past and pretend I don’t see it.As he was leaving James told me he would email me an itemized invoice, but it has been more than a week, and I have reached out to remind him a couple times with no answer. There also was never any apology from James about the issues we experienced, which seems like a lack of basic courtesy and acknowledging responsibility.Ultimately I would not recommend this company.
James and his crew one of best crews I have ever seen with all their friendliness courtesy professionalism expertise and more. They clean up every day so you can be comfortable at nights and weekends. Very happy with the end results. Wish they could do more besides flooring cuz we surely would use them again.
Blue Crew installed flooring for me last week. It was truly a fabulous experience. They were punctual, efficient, conscientious, and professional.The entire crew had an amazing work ethic….working extremely hard installing the flooring, cleaning up as they went along and upon completion. All of my furniture was handled with care and was moved back to the original place.I highly recommend Blue Crew Installation. My flooring is absolutely beautiful and the installation is perfection.Thank you Blue Crew!!!
